the CP laws in Australia are really odd, they are having genuine legislative trouble
kids sexting are techically transmiting CP
CP has a harsh mandatory sentancing, it was a witchhunt law made without due consideration

it could be fixed simply, but reform is being hampered my conservative groups who want sexting illegal even if means hurting their kids

the strange outcome is that australian police are attacking sites kids use, unwilling to risk dealing with the kids directly because of mandatory sentencing
