I thought it was pretty shit, yeah. I think they made Mark too bland and boring in name of having him be the relatable, viewer proxy among the monsters and freaks. In contrast I'd point to how Futurama handled Fry; he's meant to ground the viewer in the world of thirty-first century, but he's also got a distinct personality of his own.

It was so shitty that it would still be overrated if nobody knew it existed.

it was a great show. second season wasn't quite as funny. will watch again.
