Mine doesn't have the thermometer. I picked mine up for $1200 Canadian Monopoly bills, it had 164000 Km on it when I got it. One neat thing is the rims are aluminum and the brake drums are aluminum with a cast iron insert, makes them light as fuck.

One thing that sucks ass though is one of my turn signal covers blew off on the way to work one day and I didn't notice until I left work that night. Fucking things are $270 US dollars for fucking one. So ridiculous

Ha ha, yeah, I guess one of the POs buggered something in it, as I had to find a new glove box latch. But I did find one, of all the vehicles, in a 1990 Jeep Cherokee. It is the exact same latch, I just swapped over the chrome push tabs and blue cover on it.

I have never seen another MkVI Lincoln before, so I'm not exactly sure what should hold the glove box up

Power Steering pump.
Rebuilt trans.
Complete AC system.
Batt.
Hood lifts.
Water pump. Wires/plugs
Added window tint.
Thermostat/hoses
Headlights: all.
That's off the top of my head.

Eventually the final steps will be body/paint/soft top.

I've only had mine for a month and a half so i have yet to do much to it.
I've done:
Fixing the charging system and new alternator
New battery.
New brake pads in the front.
Removed 4 catalytic converts (2 aftermarket ones cuz lol smog).
Replaced the main brake line from the proportioning valve to the rear brakes.
Stripped the carb apart and cleaned it out.
Gotten rid of EGR and Evap junk.

I need to:
Replace valve cover gaskets.
Fix temperature sender wires on the sensor.
Rear brakes eventually
Get new plastic push tabs for the door panels as most of them are gone

And I need to figure out why the fuck the trans doesn't shift into Overdrive until 100-120 km an hour.

Have an 09 Silverado Ext. cab and a 1969 Dodge D200.

I don't believe mine shifts into od after Xmph...not sure if 88ltc was made to. I'll have to look that up.
When I had the tranny rebuilt they told me never run it in od... bc the Lincoln's od was garbage for whatever reason.
Either way Its under warranty for the nxt yr/12000mi.
&& I figure a v8 pushing a 5000lb vehicle for the past 27+ yrs is bound to have tranny trouble

Well since your's is an 88 it should have the AODE trans witch is the updated AOD trans. The AOD First came out in 1980 I believe, so in my 81, it's still new technology, maybe not much kinks worked out yet.
The Overdrive being junk is more of a myth and comes from people using overdrive when they aren't on the highway and wearing out the Overdrive band way faster than normal.
