i would disagree with the idea that we can't feel real hopeless misery. it's more uncommon, and it's for very different reasons, but I've personally had it happen.

it's important to remember that you dont share these experiences. especially with things like depression. this is cliche, but if you listen to kurt's vocals in (any nirvana track) you can hear the emotion in his voice. it's real. and he's one of the hollywood bozo's you're talking about.

Maybe. I didn't really understand even what a semblance of being poor was until my late 20s. When you grow up in a rich white area it happens often.

I'm currently fucking up my body for $23-25k a year because I can't seem to find a job for $50k. I'd love to have a job where I don't come home covered in oil every day and ache like an old man. If I stick with my company long enough I'm hopin' I'll be set up in a pretty cozy life eventually.
