I haven't had fun trolling on /b/ since they got rid of user IDs. If people can't recognize that its one person making the same posts then you're pretty limited in what you can do.

To me an amusing troll is one where you take on a persona, or embrace some weird stance and argue with everyone while they all sit around flabbergasted by the internet weirdo they've run into. But without IDs you can't really craft a trolling persona, so it all just boils down to shitposting to make people mad and I don't find any challenge or amusement in that.

Its just my opinion. A lot of people hated IDs.

It does keep you from impersonating multiple users or crafting a back and forth troll dialogue by yourself. But I never really enjoyed that kind of trolling either, it was too artificial and if I don't get some bites then I just give up.
