And people in the States tend to drive a lot fucking more than those in Europe because it's the way our cities are setup. You lot normally have an option to use public transit or just walk because it's close enough. Here if you don't live in NYC or Baltimore or some shit, you HAVE to own a car and you HAVE to drive pretty much everywhere because it's either dangerous to walk due to crossing highways or it will take you way too long. Bikes normally aren't an option either.

UK is in pretty bad shape too, though. There's at least 3 hamplanets in my office that look exactly like the guy in OP's pic.

That being said, a colleague of mine went to Florida on vacation and she said the portion sizes everywhere were ridiculously huge. They're pretty big in the UK, but she said it's nothing compared to USA.
