Awful/creepy looking buildings thread!
LOOK AT THIS SHIT OP, JUST FUCKING LOOK AT IT
This is the house i use to live in as a kid
I think that looks okay
Would you dare to get inside?
The hotbed of the American Enlightenment, the birthplace of the Revolution, a rich 400-year history of classic colonial and state architecture, and this is the fucking city hall
no one gives a fuck point question!
Birknenau (the death camp) was part of the Auschwitz complex, known as Auschwitz II, with Monowitz (the factory complex) being Auschwitz III, and the main camp (Stammlager) being Auschwitz I -work and concentration camp.
There is a great shot of the NYC Morgan Stanley on Yahoo that made it look so ominous but I haven't been able to find it since.
This is Danvers State hospital. Used to be an insane asylum. Now converted into apartments.
You should see inside pics when it was abandoned. There are multiple underground tunnels too.
One of the tunnels.
Looks like a nice syncretism between Modernist and Colonial architecture that won't collapse under the next fire that swirls through BAHSTAHN.
Tbh, you're just being a piece of shit.
thats a pretty nice building, if I may say so myself
I want to set a fire in the inner parts of that just to see what happens.
This house is in my town.
360 South Crest Road in Chattanooga. On Missionary Ridge.
Entire area is a former battleground and this house was there during the Battle of Missionary Ridge.
The entire road is original except for pavement and there are monuments and plaques that show different war leaders and other info about the war all throughout the area.
At night it's spooky. It's on a Mountain and sometimes low hanging clouds make it look like from a horror movie.
Yeah, just read about it, the completed the demolition work in 1993 and built a nice park there.
It had an interesting history though, a tight community that formed because of the shitty living conditions and triads doing what triads do - drugs, gambling, prostitution.
local state mental hospital, i literally drive past this thing every day, it is creepy and imposing from a distance. but now has been turned into artisan shops and restaurants, but they are required to not alter any of the architecture of the place
Looks like a set from some gritty future crime movie.
The Willy Wonka plant always creeped me out.
you just know a murder has been commited in this pyramid
there was a link on /rs/ of a very high res artbook documenting that place I could link here
oh wait, moot killed /rs/ without notice or offering to offer up the code so it could go back to being its own site.
now that.. is where dreams go to die. The Dream Cemetery, man. Inside that grey silo, dead dreams reside and rot slowly away, with all the magic and hope they once conveyed and carried in young, naive people -now old and empty.
once in a while, the ghosts of those dreams stir and gaze out the tiny windows, looking longingly for their former owners, and once in a while they see you, and cry grey tears of interstellar dust.
when that happens, is when you suddenly look up startled, thinking you've forgotten something, something important, something essential to your very soul. Then the sensation dissipates, and you shake your head and move on. Feeling only the faint echo silently resounding in your hollow inside.. the cold, chilled remnants of the sigh of a dead dream.
a dream that once was yours, a dream that once was you.
