>>675725880 The Delta Force. They do the shit SEALS cant. Besides that the Green Berets, just for their long history of doing it more and doing it earlier. My old man was AFSOC. He respected the Delta Force more than anything.
lel All units from all countries with the exception of certain third world countries are of the same quality. Some have certain specialities like the Australian Special Air Service Regiment being particularly adept at reconnaissance. Certain units are more acquainted with amphibious operations such as the Special Boat Service in contrast to say the Special Air Service. Obviously where they are based plays a large role, such as the Filipino Light Reaction Regiment being particularly adept at fighting in jungles. Certain units have a certain wealth of experience in ways that other units do not have, such as the Special Air Service being around since World War II. Also there are slightly different schools depending on whether a unit is in the Special Air Service tradition or the Spetsnaz tradition (most being in the Special Air Service tradition nowadays, even in many former Eastern Bloc and other communist countries). You see when you are at such an extreme level as Tier 1 Special Forces the differences between units are marginal, only certain fourteen year olds whose only source of information is Wikipedia and the History Channel thinks otherwise.
Your dad was IN the SAC you fucking faggot. I'm surprised he had a son. Must have used artificial insemination with a surrogate mother or something. Fucking loser. He probably licks the SAC more than you lick your fucking fat fingers after eating cheetos.
>>675729395 LOL what? Did I word it poorly? My FATHER served in both SAC and AFSOC first in Vietnam, then Desert Storm. Retired a Lieutenant Colonel. Personally I dont like Cheetos, that orange powder shit makes my stomach hurt (cant eat doritos either, prefer peanuts and cashews and shit)
>>675729689 The Air Force is going to be good no matter what they do. PJs are pretty badass. I personally would go with Delta Force. But dont laugh at the PJs. Downed pilots are worth millions to the Air Force and intelligence communities. PJs are the ones sent to rescue them.
>>675726129 SAS are the best. Being Irish we know. Just the mention of their name was enough to put fear into even the most hardened terrorists on this Island. They are basically the standard by which all others are measured. They have from the start and continue to, lead the way.
first off 18D is only in one branch. google it, if you were anywhere near special operations you wouldn't have to. second, not all deployments have fobs but just because im bored right now and have nothing to do ill give you a few, a couple of which i helped build.
warhorse, taji, BAF, diamondback, marez - iraq
leatherneck, hound, zawari - afghan
peacemaker - haiti
cobra - indonesia
and tons of others a poser like you wouldn't even know about
>>675733009 >>675732642 cant find a pic but basically they perfected 1-2 man "spider holes" they would set up on high grass in the island areas. they'd swim/walk in at night then wait for daylight and snipe dudes as they started their activities.
i have a picture in my manual but im too lazy to dig it our and post it but it does have the bit about where they used it and how effective it was.
>>675733665 hey man i enlisted into the Army as an 11x infantry recruit, i plan on making the Army into a career, so of course i plan on going for Special Forces, if i go through selection as an infantryman, what will i do if i make it to an SF group?
Heres a fun or maybe not so fun fact. One of the last c130s out of south vietnam during the pull out (carrying refugees bound for the Philipines) My old man was scheduled to be on it, my mom too (an airforce nurse) My dad got called away at the last minute and my mom traded with another nurse. 130 they were supposed to be on got shot down (look it up, I cant remember the flight but one of the last planes to be shot down at the end of the conflict) I wouldnt be here right now if not for a fluke.
>>675725880 There is no "best unit" obviously. I bet most people would name SAS as their best guess. But really, pretty much every powerful and/or rich nation has top tier special forces groups that could beat each other.
>>675734517 Go to schools and preform. Airborne > Ranger > SEER > SF...
You can jump to SF and do the rest later, but you better be leet. Pick a skill you want to be good at, medic, demo, weapons... And do everything you can in that area. Go to every school they will send you to.
>>675735127 wife? im sf in the national guard and i work as a contactor. when im not killing brown people for the army im making 600 bucks a day to kill brown people for a civilian company, all my money is tax free. i work 100 days and im off for 30, i go on quarterly month long vacations around the world.
>>675735943 well i planned on doing RASP first, and if i get selected ill do that for a while and then move on to SF, im obviously not that knowledgeable on how things work in special operations but is that possible? going from a Ranger batt and onto sfas?
>>675736528 It's not that hard to get selected. Ranger is all about you. SF is a completely different animal. Lots of people finish SF and never get a unit. Just keep going to schools, be a team player and lead.
Also most SF I've met wash out when they leave thier team. Big army doesn't fit the SF mentality at all.
>>675736712 Video is of a Trump supporter arguing his points, then a male SJW butts in yelling, "YOU'RE A WHITE MALE." Trying to insinuate that he cannot see anything from the position of another and that Trump wants to deport Mexicans and others.
Here's the full vid. The main yeller doesn't even seem like the main subject of the pic.
There's something about the Columbia jacket, the hairstyle and the old-style glasses (because he probably thinks himself an educated scholar because he took a single philosophy class while undecided in college), and the way his face is contorted into that smug look as he yells 'are you kidding me?' makes him seem like a fucking tool that posts stuff like, 'faith in humainty lost' and 'here's my IQ score, it's 144!' The giant fucking teeth make him look like a cunt too.
AIDS Skrillex on the other hand speaks for himself. Any man with hair like that is someone you stay away from.
And then there's that girl in the back with the complete bitch face.
I would say DEVGRU (big-boy league SEALS) or Delta tied for 1st depending on the operation (land vs. maritime). Definitely SEALS have the hardest basic training of any US military unit. Selection for DEVGRU and Delta are probably comparable, though in order to screen for DEVGRU you have to 1) already be a SEAL and 2) have had multiple deployments. Don't get me wrong Rangers, Green Berets, PJs are all badass, but to say they are better than the two tier 1 groups is just delusional.
Other than those... Maybe Polish GROM as a nice runner-up. and of course we have to acknowledge there being some non-public groups out there that are probably super crazy, but I digress.
>B-b-but what about Spetznas anon? RU and and eastern european (hell even SE Asian) special forces may have more "wild-west" type training (see backfliphatchetthrow.jpg) but they are by now means as well trained, equipped, funded, or professional as US guys.
For a wildcard, I would the South African Special Task force of the 90's. Technically, they are a police/ paramilitary but some of those nigs in S. Africa are just as wild as terrorists
>>675725880 it depends on how you define the role of special forces in the US it is >direct action kicking in doors, taking names, killing people this is generally handled by the Rangers, MarSOF, and SEALS Spetznaz are probably the best in the world >antiproliferation stopping non-nuclear powers from becoming nuclear powers this is generally handled by the SEALS >foreign indigenous defense training non-US troops to defend their nation this is generally handled by the Army SF the UK and Aus SAS are amazing at this >unconventional warfare a very broad term that generally boils down to sowing dissent in a foreign nation and training rebels this is generally handled by the Army SF and again, UK and Aus SAS excel here >anti-terrorism finding, and disrupting terrorist organizations because of the last 15 years all US SoF do well here >intelligence gathering talking to locals and getting an idea of what a nation's government and people think of everything, but also getting eyes on things that have raised flags with long range observation intelligence collection Army SF is the best in the US at this mainly because it is their primary job >PoW extraction rescuing prisoners, but also includes rescuing people that are at risk of being captured such as downed pilots Air Force ParaJumpers are among the best in the world at this there are a couple more, but they are really minor missions that rarely comeup
>>675726129 Worked with sf a lot in oef and the difference I noticed was that the US had better planned raids, which went like a well-rehearsed play. Basically, "we are doing our thing right now, and you are coming with us." whereas the brits loved the element of surprise and disappearing people in their lunch break or something like that.
>>675736684 >>675736528 >>675736844 >>675737239 I want to go Option 40 11x. What physical shape should I be in before even enlisting? Will DEP -> BCT -> OSUT -> Airborne be enough time for me to get in good enough shape to make it through RASP?
>>675751003 Okay, sounds good. I'm an extremely focused individual. Also, how difficult is it to get accepted to West Point as an active duty soldier? I intend to get high test scores and have a good APFT, but is there anything else I should do?
>>675751927 if that's what you want go for it. you will also be less of a fag for being enlisted first. my main issue with westpoint is the brainwashed lt's coming from there thinking they know everything about evberything
