Call of duty 4. It felt great to have people stroke my ego like that, even though I realised that being good at vidya games wasn't cool. I used to dominate even on a 2 bar connection. Hit detection was different on that game. If someone was sprinting on the other side of the map and you had a shitty connection, the hit box would be infront of them so you had to predict and prefire. It's a lot easier than it sounds to be fair.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Myself and my buddy used to whore the Blackhawk transport helo (the one with the minigun on the door).

He was an ace pilot, and I was exceptionally good on the gun. This was during the heyday of tracer dart spam and other lock on shit that made flying near impossible.

There was a glitch we figured out with underbarrel smoke grenades for the assault class though.

I'd run Assault w/ extra smoke grenades, and he would run engineer. He would pilot and I would door gun. If we got hit with a tracer dart or a lock on, I would switch seats immediately and fire a smoke grenade - the bug was that doing that would make it act like a flare for the helicopter and it would cancel the lock and clear the tracer dart from the vehicle.

The trick was flying low and parallel to the ground, which gave you huge targets to shoot at. Most pilots were shit and would hover high above people, and you'd have to aim down on them which was difficult to hit.

To this day I haven't seen anyone have a higher kill count in the UH-60. There were multiple games where I'd go 100+ kills and less than 5 deaths because if we got hit by a rocket, we'd fly away and repair. Only way I'd die is if a lucky sniper hit me, or someone got lucky with a dumbfire rocket.

Valparaiso and that one map with the small island overlooked by a hill were our playgrounds. Especially on Valpraiso, once all the wooden shacks were blown apart by us, the defenders were all essentially spawning on the beach unprotected, and would get absolutely demolished by us. Every leg of that map was a kill box for the helicopter if you knew how to fly/gun.

Running with extra smoke grenades gave you 6 "flares" per run, and when you went to repair/re-smoke they didn't suffer from a slow re-ammo like the HE grenades, so you'd get all 6 back in about 10 seconds.

Shit was seriously overpowered, but nobody knew about it. It had the added effect of making virtually the entire enemy team get MAD AS HELL and do nothing but try and shoot us down, instead of focusing on defending MCOM's or shooting at the rest of our team, so they would get overrun constantly while they're aiming rockets at us. The rest of our team would have the easiest kills imagineable because they'd be shooting at targets aiming at the sky (at us).

It was awesome.

Kinda ... though it was not so much skill on my part. One time many years ago playing some free-for-all Quake II mod, I got a lucky spawn just next to a massive powerup of some sort that had just spawned as well (can't remember the details).

Before I could move into the main fighting zones, the other players ran right into my line of fire (no doubt checking for said powerup), one after the other (gee, maybe if you see the first 5 guys get splattered, don't go in there?).

So basically, pure luck and extreme incompetence on their part meant that I had killed almost every player on the map within a few seconds of joining the game. Got called camper, hacker, etc. and was voted off the server.

The original Delta Force. Servers would actually be abandoned when I showed up. My kill/death ratio was 70-1. It got so that hackers would join servers and I'd get asked to cone in and fuck them up. Good times... made my much younger self feel like a somebody. Really did wonders for my self-esteem.

Sadly that was about the only fps I was ever any good at. Most times now people ask me if I'd mind cheating so they can have at least a tiny challenge.

Minecraft. That brings back some memories from when I was 14.

My best friend and his two younger brothers would sweat Minecraft for days on PvP servers. I'd go stay at theirs for a few days and we'd just fucking play on faction servers and shit.

This one server, it was new, so we decided to establish ourselves as the one powerful faction early on. We put the younger two into slavery mode (beat their asses until they agreed to mine for us whilst we did the building and exploring). 5 hours in, we had our base sorted, all had full diamond gear and just built an off-site (using faction warps) zombie spawner like 20k blocks away in the middle of the ocean for farming XP. Our base was 2k blocks away from land, middle of the ocean, 40 blocks above the water. 5 cobble block thick walls (slowly converting to obsidian), spanned 4 chunks. Had defense TNT cannons and shit on the roof, and a giant burning netherrock swastika on each side of the building.

7 hours in, admins decide to challenge us to a friendly siege, we oblige (4vs3). They show up, build cannons, start firing. We wait. Once they got through the cobble, we opened up on them with enchanted bows (Punch II, Infinity I, Power V was mine). Killed one who came back (against the conditions but ohwell), noticed them using admin powers to fly back to their platform but we didn't care. Eventually got to the point where we were too open to keep firing. My friend and I use our master tactic. Used ender pearls to teleport and board their platform whilst the other two kept firing. Killed all three of them swiftly.

BANNED FOR TELEPORTING. We even asked if ender pearls were allowed before and they said yes. Butthurt Minetards.

Yup, in Garry's Mod. I used to play on TTT a lot and was even an admin on the server I played on a lot. One day some other admin that didn't like me or whatever sees me bhopping around the map (I would do this all the time and no one's said a thing for 2 months,) reports it to the owner of the server, and I get banned and stripped of my rank for "Scripting". Apparently his server settings don't allow bhopping to happen and the fact that I still could made him a whiny little bitch about it

I quit playing online games back in the Halo 3 days. The only way I could completely finish a match in any of the games I owned was to intentionally lose. Fucking 12 year olds are so quick to pull the plug.

In battlefield 4 all the time, also in bad company 2, although it has more to do with mods not being able to enjoy their server when someone better enters.
