Old game Nostalgia?
What games did you play when you were younger, or still play today?
What is your favorite OLD game?
mech warrior was so fucking great, i need to download this again
Got this from a bookstore at my school. Shit was fun, and still is
X-COM master race reporting in.
this game gave me fucking nightmares when Payne was dreaming
that red line with the baby crying in the background, fuuuuck meeee
One of my first games
>tfw had only demo
>tfw played it all day erryday
>tfw had 600 titans and fucked the broken purple player out of his southeast rich castle
>tfw the best homam
far cry 1
still terrifies me when you're being chased by these fucking monkeys
I got one for you bastards
YES i need this game now holy shit the nostalgia just kicked me in the face
Half life 2? No? Anyone?!
Still playing this game today
Donkey Kong 64 and Super Mario Bros.
I'm a '96fag, care to introduce me to some old gems that might inspire this young mind?
I enjoy RPG, Adventure type games if it helps knowing my tastes.
I cant believe I haven't seen this yet. I am disappointed.
>I still play this and I prefer it to Civilization V. Sorry to say but I simply enjoy this more. It's less tedious and it has more action in it.
>be 16 in 2005
>get job, save every penny
>build sempron+geforce 6200 shitbox
>first game install: hl2 bought w/ birthday money
>thanks to based valve, game runs great
>play through it in 2 days
>re-play it at least once a year
>tfw I instinctively right-clicked at your pic
For me it's the god-tier artwork. Looks exactly like a russian city in the not-too-distant future should.
Make sure to play Half Life 1 as well, preferebly before the second game. It will give you the whole story. I only play this game because I absolutely love the story behind it.
Awesome game is awesome
Plus its directly related to the tiberium universe.
legendary game(including TFT)
I remember this on PS1. Starts with a kid dreaming in class right then going on a rocket somewhere.
Got it from GoG.
Its very laggy and it won't load from my original anthology discs :/
Great game series though
Yeah same. My favourite Max Payne though.
>not going through that level with just gravity gun.
Not an old game though just 5 years.
Gonna rebuy the first 2 games when Blizz releases its HD version.
I see your obscure sci fi game, good sir, and raise you one Alpha Centauri
With the Brutal doom mod this game becomes truly amazing even by modern standards, everything ID wanted Doom to be, and everything Doom3 should have been
Been playing Diablo 2 single player w/ highres mod lately. Also cheating and using an item editor to create small charms with +255% to magic find, shit is so cash.
No way man
When I was 12 the internet was still one of those things that only "cool hackers" used and my computer simply did not have the processing power to run Doom2 and if I wanted to try a Super Nintendo game I had to take my ass down to Blockbuster. And fapping material consisted of a pile of mom's victoria secrets hidden under the bed
If 12 year old me knew that 30-something year old me would have the entire library of NES, SNES, and Genesis games tucked away in an insignificant corner of his computer and could download new games at a whim (either as vaporware or through pirate bay), he would cream his pants. Especially when he found out how accessible porn is
OG niggas remember Fabio
>family had decent pc w/ newfangled optical mouse
>had Unreal Tournament also
>consolecuck goldeneye-playing friends would visit and were fucking blown away that pic related was a thing
Man, I wasted hours on that game.
And on pic related too.
GOAT DooM mod right here.
Also best thing I've ever found in a cereal box.
anyone know a strategy game called Dragon Isalnd? You could be red (all i remember was they had a girl sorcerer doing heaps of damage with fireballs) blue (they had a cool guy on a horse) or yellows. It was on pc in like later 90's or early 2000's and I haven't been able to find it since.
guess the name of the game
hint: it´s modded
Ha, I remember those! I had one of pic related
ITT gamers not playing casual games before casual games were a thing
know the feel. I played that when i was far too young
>tfw you lose a 3v2 with your friends vs AI that constantly sends 200+ workers to mine your resources
Even after all these years I was never able to beat it.
Love both 1 & 2 but the barnackles still terrify me to this day, so i'm not playing through it as often as i'd like
This. Still to this day I have my ORIGINAL boxed version including Terror from the Deep, Apocalypse and X-Com Interceptor. All good fun times, but nothing as fun as taking a battleship UFO full of Etherials.
Trophy bass 2. I've been trying to find a version that'll run in modern versions of windows for years but have had no luck. I did find a version that runs, but it's stuck at permanent hyper-speed so it's pretty much unplayable.
That game was basically my life when it came out. I was in a "competitive" trophy bass 2 clan, did tournaments all the time, and held the record for largest catfish caught in an official WON tournament for a long time. I miss that game.
So many hours on this game... a friend of mine showed it to me and i spent days in his house playing it.
we have a winner! gothic 2 with a brand new modification
check it out if you´re a fan
Its a shame that half or more of these games are not obtainable anymore, and downloaded versions are so shit most of the time that you cannot play it. Fuck...
Also, Wolfensten - Enemy Territory
You know nothing about RPGs unless you played this game...
Killing that Dragon was so much fun and then getting that Firestaff and trying to catch Lord Chaos was a massive ballache but so satisfying!
You never played it, faggot, not a single second
Fuck yes. Stunning game. Hope the new one they're making is as good as the original two.
>tfw can't find anyone else who liked these games
Bit too recent, but awesome anyway
I have this somewhere still. You need dosbox to play it though. Also have MOO 2 and 3 originals boxed. You should play Galactic Civilisations. Took MOO to new places.
It's difficulty was a big centerpiece to my gaming history also.
You couldn't just vats through the game, it's strategy often left me for dead on numerous occasions. It's one of those games you go back to periodically and play through again.
God bless the old shit.
Kolibri. The only hummingbird simulator game I can think of
Man, Tomba was bad ass, wish i still had my old grey box.
graphics are too good
can't be nostalgia
For sure there is a big line drawn between FO2 and 3. People on one side smugly detest the other who are standing glassy eyed and mumbling/screaming incoherent nonsense about things they simply do not know much about god bless em
I remember that one! Did you play this one?
Not that old, but does anyone remember this game?
Raise you one cockroach simulator...
>fuckin exploring an aztec pyramid
>using magic crystals to talk to dead nazi treasure hunters
>all while trying to keep a dreaming god from waking up and destroying the earth
Anyone else know this game? It was one of my first computer games.
Sacrifice. That one pc game back in 2001 or something made by Paradox. Great game, great times. Still play it occasionally.
the only good games itt
>sid meier's civilization 1-2
>the incredible machine 1-2
>dune 1 & dune 2
>monkeys' island 1-2
>transport tycoon (delux)
>day of the tentacles
>Leisure Suit Larry 1
Played it often with a friend of mine. Still remember the one time we found out how to skip the age check at the beginning.
My mother didn't think it was as funny to kill as many people as possible as we did.
>Jagged Alliance 1 and 2
Just got 2 from GOG. Fun game.
>Monkey Island 2
>Halflife with Counterstrike mod
Last 3: long nights and weekends together with friends.
Good times. Anyone up for some Warcraft 3?
Awesome game of awesomeness. I was never good at it, tho.
I still remember the lolz that could be had when I played with 4 hours of no attacking, and then attack someone the moment I can with a 1500 men. And then they all died, because I cannot into strategy.
I played III more than II, but II is greatness as well.
Singularity gravships, motherfucker. Singularity gravships. Love 'em.
Ah, the memories. This, as well as Zeus and Caesar III (which was a bitch to play decently, though). Loved every second of them, tho.
I don't think I ever saw this encounter, but F1 and F2 burned a lot of my days. That said, I do love F3 and F:NV too.
Wow, didn't expect to see this beast posted here! Never was a fan of the ranger heroes, though.
By the gods, yes. This and VII - love them to death! I haven't played the earlier ones, though, so the sci-fi part in them always felt kinda out of place to me.
