>we judge each other based on anime
you have already been judged
fuck it nigger
3.Hunter x Hunter
4.Jojo's bizarre adventure
eh it was a 5/10 at most
fuck off normie
So what are you doing on an anime imageboard again?
5/10, probably born somewhere in the mid 90's or above
every b-tard can see themselves in Tomoko, also watch NHK ni Yokosou/10
7/10, Madoka pulls you down a notch
>heavens lost propery
I agree. But you gotta admit the balls it took to kill off such a pivotal, amazing fucking character. Though that softy cop redeemed it when he went berserk on Yagami at the end. I put it on the list cause it was the first anime I ever watched at my buddy's recommendation and turned me into a weaboo faget in the end. Manga was better anyway.
No. Balls would have been letting Light win, and turn the world fucking corrupt. Instead, they took the pussy route and said "nah let's just have this mastermind die to a fucking cop"
tfw really love socializing with people but all the ramen and vg I could ever have are are home Yeah I'm pretty sure I'll be lonely for the rest of my life lmao
>Goji's Redneck Gunt Punch
>Bleckem Blickecm Blickem
>Ghost in the Shell: SAC
also given a few more...
>its fucking CHAN
1- Gurren Lagann
2- Samurai Champloo
3- FMAB was pretty cool, didn't finish it all the way
4- Finished this one called The Unlimited, was pretty cool.
No particular order of importance.
>Kiss X Sis
>Boku No Pico
>Boku to Chico
>Boku X Coco X Pico
1 - Monster
2 - Ergo Proxy
3- Psycho Pass
4 - Darker than black
2. KILL LA KILL
1.) Record of Lodoss War
2.) Ghost in The Shell
3.) Last Exile
4.) Claymore (even though it sucked dick at following the manga)
What is good about that jo jos bizarre adventure? I hear alot of recommendations but when i try to watch the first few episodes its just some faggot that whines and lets a douchebag kill his dog, win his family over him, and kiss his girlfriend or some shit and i assume it gets more boring and worse. terribly boring so far
same. they were amazing in terms of making the action oh so much freaking better. but the whole crazy story was so much more elaborate in the original and thats why I prefer it
Honestly can't believe KLK is in anyone's top 4.
Specifically, Little Busters (and little busters season 2/refrain), which was my personal favorite.
But really, anything by Jun Maeda is really really good. Except for maybe AIR, which I don't really recommend. If you just search Key Visual Arts you should find all his anime. Amazing stuff.
I am doing, and yeah the show's left a lot out from the Manga but holy hell is it good, tight animation, compelling characters and good writing is what made me interested in finding the manga in the first place. So It can't be so bad.
Parasyte while having a somewhat interesting concept is overall just your generic highschool shounen action
TTGL can be summed up with the word epic I'd say, I've always considered it a bit of a tribute to all the wackyness in anime, but it's overall pretty braindead and focuses mainly on epic battles just keeping the bare minimum of other stuff to hold the story together
Hunter x Hunter is just fine, regular good shounen action, nothing more nothing less
Jojo is fabolous as fuck but it has the same over the top tendencies as TTGL,
I would rate all of these shows around 6-7 so you got 6.5 - fair enough?
I feel you bro, I wouldve loved that ending too. But it wouldnt have been as conclusive.
I like the theme of Light's downfall being his arrogance. He fucked himself when he joined the cops. Even then, he would've succeeded if it were not for the least-expected cop to stop him, he underestimated him and didnt consider him a threat. Plus the way that character did a complete turn around was awesome.
And if Light won, you couldnt fulfil that epic promise from Ryukk: One day, when I grow bored of you, I will write your name in my Death Note

My name is Roger Smith, and I perform a necessary duty in the city of lost memories.
>You're a Louse Roger Smith
Thanks. Record of Lodoss War was my introduction to anime when I was 8 (born in 84). Ghost in The Shell came after I discovered other stuff like Bubblegum Crisis. Last Exile and Claymore were sort of reserved for "recent stuff I watched that didn't entirely piss me off".
Well, yea ultimately it's all opinions, I think I might spit out a few things as to why I call it generic such as the little teeny romance dramas, the overcoming the big bad bullies, keeping something secret and being all mysterious to your classmates etc
Anyway, now Ima go suffer through another episode of Maison Ikkoku, would certainly rather watch Parasyte instead.
1. One Piece
2. One Piece
3. One Piece
4. Boku no Piko
Never watched the anime, was it good? were they forced to end it already?
The manga is probably my favorite of all. Although I feel like some editors or whoevers in charge of its direction shit the bed a little bit. It was always so awesome because it broke the formula; Just Gatts, the biggest badass in history, cutting his way through the world without ever giving a fuck for anything except one. The elf dude, who tries to follow him while he doesn't even want him to. And if I want to talk about Griffith I gotta write a whole separate book. The contrast between them and the infinite twisting of their roles is the best literary shit ever.
However, it seems to me at one point the editors said we gotta make it follow a more usual formula, so suddenly Gatts has a party of people I don't really care about, he's cracking one-lines left and right instead of his usual taciturn self, etc etc. Not a huge defect but it spoiled the lone-wolf-cutting-his-way-through-everything-to-get-to-his-goal-and-not-giving-a-fuck-about-anyone-or-himself kinda theme, it was original. Still an amazing manga though, especially the last arc I read where Griffith establishes Falconia and the awesome humans and demons fighting together.
no particular order
Spice and Wolf
Also forgot to add: That part in Gatts' backstory where he gets raped by older men was so completely fucked up. It takes massive balls to write in something like that, especially about your mega badass main character.
Thanks though, I'll take a gander. Though I don't really have high hopes after reading the wikipedia page:
>Themes of friendship and ambition are more developed and emphasized than those of causality and the supernatural
That's exactly what I was talking about them shitting the bed
Cool to see some elders around, '81 here. First I saw was Starzinger and Hokuto no Ken. My only gripe with the Claymore anime is probably that it bails out somewhat unfinished. You seen the latest Last Exile btw, is it any good? Only seen the old one yet.
>R Dorothy Wayneright.
Dorothy: You're not as tortured as I expected, Roger.
Roger: You mean you're the negotiater?
Beck: The whole cast assembled. Is your oh so precious Dorothy.... Roger's lover?
Dorothy: Why Roger? You are so cruel. Why is it preposterous?
Roger: Dorothy, knock it off. Don't you understand the situation we're in?
Dorothy: I understand. A villain has kidnapped a man that I work for. The man that I love.
Roger: R DOROTHY WAYNRIGHT!
Dorothy: I was joking. I was just trying to lighten the mood.
>None of you will ever remember her pain.
4. Abouy 4th place I'm not sure, but i've got three options:
- Black Lagoon
- Hellsing Ultimate
1. Favourite anime? In simple words...
>SERIAL. EXPERIMENTS. MOTHERFUCKING. LAIN.
>>Themes of friendship and ambition are more developed and emphasized than those of causality and the supernatural
That isn't true at all. I mean, the theme of brotherhood and stuff is there but it is in no way more prevalent, shown, or focused on than the abject terribleness the world is.
>mfw I read that.
I'll take your word for it. but still
>Though the manga storyline remains largely intact, many changes were made, with the modification or elimination of characters (one notable example being Puck(?)), some of the series' most violent and brutal scenes
I dont know maaaaaaaaaan...
Except this shit isn't hype, its for real. BnP is hyped up as a joke because "lololol gay porn". Gurren Lagann is really worth peoples time with giant robots and fighting the universe. But as always, Its all based on opinion
You might like Boogiepop, just a thought m8
1. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
2. Hellsing Ultimate
I know, I have impeccable taste.
Neon genesis Evangelion
>Cory in the house or King of the Hill not on that list

4. Elfen Lied
As a long time anime fan I've tried Neon Genesis Evangelion, however; I fairly biased towards most Mecha animes, especially when they do nothing to distinguish themselves from the other hundreds of Mechas that are out there.
1. Legend of the Galactic Heroes
2. UC Mobile Suit Gundam
3. Initial D
4. Cromartie High School
>What is Neon Genesis Evangelion about?
I'm glad you asked!
Pussy ass kid has daddy issues the end
1.Katekyo Hitman Reborn
3.Nanatsu No Taizai
4.Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood
NGE is basically a deconstruction of the mecha genre; it suffered from poor budgeting but nevertheless is pretty good. anno's ambition is palpable throughout, and anyway the show established its place in the cannon of "must-watch" series.
here's a preview:
personally, I think Evangelion is important to watch because it marks a transition into more critical viewing. I remember hearing all these diverse opinions about NGE and thinking "wow, this is really interesting," then not knowing what to think after I finished it. part of me just wanted to write Anno off as full of shit. watching something with such a divided fanbase is great for helping a novice weeb form opinions about what "good" anime is, which is the first step towards developing taste.
>every btard can see themselves in Tomoko
yup, especially the "you're here forever" part.
Oh look, OP being a faggot.
>Attack on Titan
You bee-tards wish you were as manly as me. Keep sucking dick /Bee/. thats all you will ever be good at.
it gives you a starting point. you could do this with any show, but it's easiest with Evangelion since the fans are so divided.
bebop is great. what have you liked so far in what you've seen? romance? action? suspense? mindfuckery?
The only Mechas I have ever been able to finish are: Gurren Lagan and Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari (which I highly recomend as it combines fantasy and sci-fi into a unique world)
1. Cross Ange
2. Psycho Pass
3. break blade
4. fate zero/stay night
10 CHAIKA ON THE FRONT PAAAAAGE
I get this feeling that the more repetitive and lengthy mecha series weren't meant to be watched alone. like, they're something that you watch with a couple of good friends, a couple of beers, and some good nachos or something. oh well. TTGL was good, although an intermediate episode between the time gap would have been nice
also try some movies. I recommend Perfect Blue
looks interesting, nice to see someone going against the whole tall guy short girl trope
I can see your point regarding arcs before Chimera Ant. The Zoldyks' fight against Kuroro, for example, was far better in the original. I've only seen clips from the original, but I've been told that it's much more detailed than the 2013 version for the arcs that they both cover.
However, in my opinion, the Chimera Ant arc was one of the best things ever animated. Compelling story, quality animation, excellent villains...even the love story (which shounen botches with alarming frequency) was heartwarming and heartrending.
Also. Isaac. Freaking. Netero.
Is it possible for there to be so much shit taste in one thread?
I love you so much anon.
Chimera Ant and Spiders had to be the best two arcs in the series whole, next to Greed Island.
Excellent taste my friend!
WHAT GOOD ANIME IS CURRENTLY AIRING?
I WANT TO FIT IN /a/
