Long stretches of the manga are spent inside action scenes, such that entire chapters go by at times covering only a few seconds. A shit-tier anime studio would stretch this out, but the Ippo series have been somewhat quickly paced.

It's harder to say that the manga doesn't feel "dragged on". Currently up to chapter 1086 (scanlated).

I'm a mangafag and usually am the first to call adaptations shit, but Hajime no Ippo is one of the rare exceptions where I'd recommend the anime over the manga. The only problem with the anime is they cut out and wrote around an important fight in the Rookie King tournament. Its absence creates some narrative problems.

By the way, Onepunch Man is 10/10, and the story beyond the current chapter is already published, so we know it's going to keep being absolutely glorious.

Second season had the First Avatar Wan sidestory, which is probably the best part of the entire series.

The final season gets points for General Zelda, Bolin finally proving himself, suitably high stakes, and ending with best ship. Loses points for shitty 3D and not having the balls to do anything with best ship before the end.

Great Theme, decent animation if deliberately sloppy at times, virtually all the characters are enjoyable. and despite it being the most adult it felt like a true gateway to anime really to me.

Yosuga no Sora. Twincest. It was adapted from a VN, so considering the omnibus format they did, it was pretty good all things considered. Though the source was better of course. Anyways, the only anime with a little sister win are Koi Kaze, YnS which is twins, but fuck you it counts and was adapted from a VN, and Oreimo adapted from the LN, where the author wasn't allowed to go all out so had to do a lot of implying for the end. Not sure if Koi Kaze wa adapted from anything though.
