There is no strategy in Age of Empires II. At least no against the AI - you always win if you spam Trebuchets and Paladins or other heavy cavalry.
Make 40 of them, select box, right click atz enemy town centre after having breached the walls, destroy it and slaughter all fleeing villagers. Boom enemy economy ruined.
Knights of honor, my all time favorite and has aged very well
+1 internets to who can guess this game
Man i have to download it. Shit was so cash.
anyone remebers pic rltd? the multi layered production concept was fucking golden. Never did I see anything like this.
Men of War Assault Squad 1 and 2
face 2 face me is the greatest strategy game of all time
CONFIRMED FOR BEST FUCKING GOD TIER RTS EVER.
Sure Starcraft 2 is smooth and shit, war 3 is the bomb, but nothing compares to supreme commander: Forged alliance. Not even supreme commander 2 or planitary annihilation. Forged alliance is, and always will be, the shit.
Buy that shit on steam for a few bucks, install Forged Alliance Forever, lose your first 20 matches and start building the most insane and awesome shit ever.
Men of war? Yeah shit was cool.
1: Supreme commander; Forged Alliance
2: Starcraft 2 (best for competitive games anyway)
3: Men of war (good relatively realistic army shit with tons of options. Its like half an RPG as well)
4: Homeworld 2 (good setting and graphics and feel, but not as good RTS-wise)
5: Don't even care anymore, 1, 2 and 3 is all I need
Yes. Objectively speaking Starcraft 2 is superior to red alert 3. Loved the shit out of RA1 and RA2 though. If I had to choose RA1 was the best, kinda went downhill from there, but RA2 and C&C: Tiberium wars/kane's wrath were cool too. RA3 was kinda fun, but nowhere near good
oh man i forgot about starcraft 2. I loved the first one.
those Red Alert 3 women though..
Universe at War
Age of Wonders
World in Conflict
AoE Expansion Pack
Supreme Commander 1 and Forged Alliance
RollerCoaster Tycoon 1
Sim City 4
CoC Zero Hour Contra 007
Empire Earth 1
I tried playing it recently... When you are used to new games it's really hard. I had no idea how I managed to play through it 15 years ago. Like I was in the mission with Tanya and the bridges and had to reload becausy my little artillery was attacked... Really I could have continued but I just stopped after a while...
It was great back then but it did not age well...
>mfw no Alpha Centauri
>no Transport Tycoon
>no Heroes 3
H3 all the way, good taste
big bertha gon hurt ya
One of the fairly unknown Games but it had so much charm
why did no one post this yet guys are you fucking serious
Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion of course
Star Ruler 1 and 2 are great too but not as.
Act of War HT
(something between CoC Generals and Supreme Commander)
Nope. Right now playing Open Transport Tycoon. Is it good?
I used to like when it degenerated into Stalingrad everytime you had to take a town
>Being able to click faster than the other player
Thank you for the recommendation, this looks exactly like what I'm looking for>>598081843
This game, but only if its the complete version. Vanilla is fucking boring.
This was a god damned God tier game until...
I read on the interwebz that I could place an ox post at the enemy castle entrances and block all the bad guys from leaving and the workers from entering.
Completely killed the game for me.
>Black and White 1/2
>Age of Empires 1/2
Total War: Shogun 2
Total War: Rome 2
Company of Heroes 1 & 2
World in conflict
many more but I'm late for an important fap session.
It's not as complex as the Paradox Games, but, boy, it is fun as heck.
Played vanilla at the release. Got serious butthurt. Should I trust you, Anon?
well why? the graphics are still very good and the gameplay is awesome. only problem is playing with AI's for too long because the game will get very slow but u dont want to play only AI's dont u? it's a great game really and cheap
Fuck all your sc2. Brood war was the greatest game ever.
balance of power
"You have ignited a nuclear war. And no, there is no animated display of a mushroom cloud with parts of bodies flying through the air. We do not reward failure."
