Arizona thread! What do you got faggots?
Lindsey b. And scottsdale is full of hoes. But who's takin pics of last night's thot
Is AZ worth living in?
I live in MI and have wanted to live in that kind of environment ever since my family and I visited in 2009. Like, the fucking desert, I just think it's cool as shit. I'm a straight white dude so I don't see myself dealing with any political shit, even though it's a complete conservative shithole.
What's the job market like around the state for someone with a Bachelors in electronic media broadcasting? Is there any kind of real music scene for indie-electronic shit?
It's not all the most important questions but I've been curious about it for a while
Nope. Kinda maybe wish I did, that name is either really hot or absolutely fucking raped ugly.
Ah, must be a different. Strange, though. Must be the lighting combined with that potato.
Ah. Oh well. Here's my fave pic of her as consolation
She was a beast in bed. Loves swallowing cum and likes being choked during sex.
Honestly, mostly just like south central Phoenix, downtown Glendale, and certain pockets in Tempe. I also have to say that I don't like Sunnyslope or Apache Junction, or any of the Indian reservations.
No actually. The music scene for professionals is extremely small out here. There's virtually one full suite professional recording studio in the entirety of Phoenix. It's a really weird scene for audio professionals, and there is a lot of talentless amateurs out here with no drive for the scene to get better. Anyone who's worth anything always moves.
Thanks man. I'm still considering what I want to do out of college but I KNOW I want to move somewhere out west where they's actually a real youth culture, because I really can't stand this shitty town I've been living in my whole life.
AZ looks cool, CA looks cool but expensive, was considering Seattle too or fucking Portland but I need to do real research.
anybody go to chs? Harmonee weinershniztle or whatever the fuck her last name is did a porn if anyone knows who that his
made some oc out of it
After a few times of me fucking her from behind while squeezing her neck she admitted it was a little scary and the fact that she REALLY couldn't breathe and couldn't control my strength was frightening.
The valley of Sunnyslope is shit. No gangs, but lots of really shitty drugs. I work in the center of it and the it sucks so much.
Interesting mix of people, though.
I lived like 1.5 miles from it and was golden, but that small area that is Sunnyslope is a cesspool.
Lots of places depending on the scene. Many move to Cali, but Denver is the hot spot right now for creative people in the West it seems. People from AZ often move northwest too because living in the desert gives a lot of people a strong affinity for rain and green. Though not many musicians I know move northwest. Phoenix is still really big so there are lots of jobs, and housing is cheap. The 'youth culture' in Phx is not noteworthy in any particular way.
Ah, fuck. I thought I repressed that place into the idea of Glendale.
Yeah, absolutely never stop in Maryvale. Fuck that place. It just sucks. There is no good thing in it, and I challenge anyone to prove me wrong.
Here a girl from phoenix
Purdue would probably be a better school for economics if you're more interested in academia but ASUs business school is really good, not to mention ASU just acquired the Thunderbird School of Global Management which is also excellent. I personally think studying business is retarded but if you're going to do it, ASU is great.
I have a friend who got a dual degree in Econ and Math who got accepted with a paid position including a full stipend and full funding for research in Econometrics at Caltech, and he was at ASU. He was also smart as fuck though and did undergrad research for two years.
Eh, I grew up on like Northern and 19th Ave.
No doubt that's a tough neighborhood, but I've never been exceptionally uncomfortable around there.
IDK, maybe it's cause I went to Washington and knew a lot of people around there.
As someone from Arizona, Phoenix ~10 years and Tucson ~3 years, get out if you can. Both ASU and UA are decent schools, went to UA and a bunch of my friends went to ASU, but everyone I know that went to ASU either dropped out or is struggling wishing they had gone out of state.
I transferred out of state and it's the best decision I've ever made.
Is this 'shopped? If not, this is seriously impressive, as that's a great-looking ass and some nice fucking curves! Got any more pics of this female? Age? Name? Location? But, most-importantly, more pics?
Yeah, which corner.
I was on Josh and Jordan's side.
I've seen some fucked up accidents at night at that intersection. I *always* slow up before it and look. Out of superstition.
You know I was young when that happened and never heard a real good explanation of that. I live on the other side. I knew a girl in high school and she had told me her brother was a good friend of the two of them before the accident. Spiraled into depression and alcoholism.
More phx shez my gf
What's so bad about Maryvale? gangs? Drugs? Thugs? Violence? Crime? All of the aforementioned? Is it legitimately as hardcore/violent as the worst parts of Phoenix?
I was born and raised in Chandler, also lived in Payson for 16 years, then in east Mesa for a while, and now south Scottsdale (not the nice part, more like the ghetto of Scottsdale, near 68th St. and Thomas), but I have not been over to the west valley much at all.
I did find myself in some of the seemingly bad parts of Phoenix fairly recently - around 32nd St. and Thomas, 43rd Ave. and Camelback, and 27th Ave. and Indian School - and they all seemed like they were pretty fucking unsafe places that made me uneasy to be in. Is anyone on here familiar with any of these areas? If so, thoughts and opinions? Are these neighborhoods pretty bad, in terms of what Phoenix has to offer? Or are there worse parts of Phoenix? And is Maryvale worse than these parts of Phoenix?
I realize that people are looking for nudes, so sorry to derail the thread, but if anyone feels like discussing some of the rougher parts of the valley, please feel free to reply.

its aight. really not as bad as everyone says. mvhs is ass.
anyone remember when metro didnt suck? those days...
I live on 43rd and bethany.
It's not bad, at least I haven't heard or seen bad shit expect for the two cops that got shot this year but to be fair they were chasing the dude who from out of the area.
When I would hear gunshots at night it was always from the south so I guess you can say 43 and camelback is bad, it's nothing but apartments so that makes sense.
i got a full ride to asu. its okay, but i really wish i couldve done community college first. the jump from high school to university was too big for me, despite my top-tier grades and scores and shit.
if you do pick asu, go to asu west. main sucks sooooo badly. professors, students, and parking wise.
To be fair, I've seen a few dead people around and I wouldn't have if I didn't go driving around shit areas of Glendale late at night.
Hence why I keep a well acquainted firearm nearby in my truck.
People that say that have obviously never been part of a big school. It's honestly one of the best experiences.
All the sporting events, all the people you meet, the connections you can make even simply a wider range of classes to chose from makes it better.
32nd and Thomas is a really weird area. The northwest corner neighborhood is actually pretty fucking nice, I live in some nice condos right there. But all other three corners are fucking awful. I love the location though because I'm close to downtown, close to all the cool new hipster spots on central, close to Tempe, and close to old town (although fuck old town). And there's lots more culture around here too: middle eastern markets, Asian grocery stores, Mexican carnicerias, german bakeries, Ethiopian restauarants are all within 5 mins. But then you go to the Frys on the corner and you're just like what the fuck, man
it just take dedication and good habits. but truly, asu west is a lot more academically inclined because its not full of fucking whorority/frat idiots like tempe is.
the professors at west actually care and shit.
Thanks for the replies. Do you guys think these sets of cross streets I mentioned are all pretty bad areas? Minorly bad? Majorly bad? Are there much-worse areas in Phoenix? If so, where? What do you guys think is the absolute most-dangerous part of the Phoenix area?
Also, does Tucson have areas that are as bad as Phoenix? Or worse?
When I was growing up (I'm in my late-30s now), I always heard/thought of south Phoenix as being the worst/most-dangerous place in the valley. And I'm sure there are still some really fucked-up areas there; however, it seems like there are now also some really bad areas in the west valley towards Glendale, Sunnyvale, Maryvale (assuming those all qualify as the west valley).
How do you think the bad parts of Phoenix compare to the bad parts of other places like Los Angeles? Oakland? Albuquerque? Chicago? Detroit? Memphis? New Orleans? Does Phoenix even compare at all to cities like these?
not him but hell fucking no! im the fag at a small <5000 student school. avoid small colleges. faculty usually sucks, literally no diversity in classes that are offered, and our registration for classes is beyond fucked
Just go for graduate school or something. Or if you have friends in a bigger school visit them for a weekend and see what it's like.
I can't say from personal experience but anyone I know that goes to a small school hates some aspect of it. From the lack of ways to get involved to limitations in majors and classes.
for me it was, but i always had a problem with hw, i naturally did good in everything in high school but college required that i actually study for hours, and i took the act my first time with a 28 without knowing much about it.
it made me want to kill myself. but in retrospect, it wasnt that bad.
Phoenix is REALLY not very ghetto. Tucson in its entirety except for right around UofA is probably as dangerous as the crappiest parts of Phoenix, and even then it's not that dangerous. The chances of getting shot are pretty small in Phoenix. Maybe mugged in a shifty area...but it's not like if you drive a car through "the wrong neighborhood" you'll get car jacked. There's some drugged out people for sure. There are some really shitty blocks, but no large scale gang activity.
I was actually at that intersection several times while I was in that area. Are you talking about the corner of 32nd St. and Thomas where the Goodwill is? I didn't get over behind that plaza, so I'm not sure what it's like back there, but there is a Circle K on 32nd St. just north of Thomas that is not on a nice block and the people there are shady, weird, wild, and pretty fucking scary. The apartment complexes behind that Circle K on the east side of 32nd Street are seriously sketchy and I was really fucking uneasy being around them. And, no, I was not there doing/looking for anything illegal. But, the vibe in those ghetto complexes and from the people there is disconcerting, for sure. And I had a pistol in my pocket while I was there, but was still uneasy about being there.
