The thing about my phobia, is that I am only afraid of spiders if they are in my house. If I am outside, or at work, I can have a spider crawl out of my hair and be perfectly fine with it. I went camping once and we came back early, I think a spider must have been on my back or something because when I got back home, I felt something in my hair, and when I grabbed it out, it was this big fucking green looking spider around 3 or 4 inches wide. I just walked out the door and threw it away. I think my phobia's died down a lot though at least.

My recurring nightmare is having something chasing me, not even quickly, just walking behind me. I try my hardest to run, but my feet hit the floor and just slide back without pushing me forward. I try to force myself to push forward with the tips of my feet, and i still only move a few inches. It gets closer, and I fall and desperately scrabble with my fingers trying to crawl forwards, but I just slowly slide backwards. I don't know why, it's such a random and irrational fear, but it's the most gripping terror I've ever felt. Happens usually once a month or so.
