I dont thnk that getting rejected makes you beta, i mean who cares, rejection is normal, sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't, but what makes you beta is that you are unable to estimate your position. For example yesterday i was sitting next to some girl in my class, and we dont really know eachother well, we just sometimes smoke a cigarette on breaks and chit chat, so she set next to me and we talked a bit and she asked for my number, now what makes me beta is not knowing if she is interested in anything more, or just wants my number for the i don't know why.
