Moot (that faggot), Administrators, Moderators, and janitors are actively banning people and deleting threads for showing any kind of opposition towards the Gamergate scandal. Gamergate scandal is an unrelated phenomenon that happened outside of 4chan. Everyone here, especially /v/, were talking about it and doing their normal babble whenever big things happen on the internet. Then censorship took place. Moot allegedly fired about half of the 4chan staff because they opposed the censorship.

This started more than a month ago, and since then moot found mods/admins that willingly went on with his plan to censor 4chan. OP's pic lets us in on his reasoning behind it all.

In my opinion, M00t shouldn't have been such a little pussy. I mean, there's only so much they can do to him. The site will come back if brought down, those emails can be ignored etc etc... We should fucking fight back

We are all used to 4chan being a certain way, and when it changes its unnerving for most of us. Especially when there are no repercussions for us when we do things the old way but still get told that the old way is now unacceptable. I think thats where most of these gamergate and antiSJW people are coming from. Thats how I feel. Even if it will draw a lot of community hate I think that moot should open up a discussion with us to explain whats really going on.

This place is a total shitfest and has been for some time. The reality is that 4chan is not a destination for most people. It's just a pitstop. Most people eventually age out of this place once they're done being young and angry and move on to better communities. That's the way it's been for years.

4chan's only real validity is in its format which less and less people care about. We have a whole generation of people coming up behind us who care very little about privacy. Being able to discuss anything, including taboo subjects, becomes less important as less and less people are interesting in those subjects (let's face it, tumblr philosophy has taken over).

Basically, this place is rapidly losing its market. There's little new blood coming in and the older members eventually grow up and move on as well. All that is left is the truly socially defunct individuals who just can't find a home anywhere else.

And that's not a market anyone cares to cater to anyway. I would be very surprised if 4chan limped along for another 5 years. It doesn't surprise me if moot wants to clean it up and sell it at all.
