What is it about these pictures that relaxes you so much, I would assume almost all of these are night time and perhaps our minds think "Sleep". But is it that or something more?

Also why are Rain/damp/wet kinda pictures more relaxing in most cases than dry ones ?

It is contemplative. The images of space and nature invoke feelings of awe and just living in the moment. You look at that stuff and remember how small you are....impossibly small and instead of being depressed or scared about that I like it in some quiet, satisfied, happy way. I cant explain it but I think that something about buddhism and losing the ego is part of it. Who is the one that lost their ego. who? I just am and I can be happy in that fact for a moment away from all the shit and constructs humans have built up that we worry about.

Looking at these images I can be alone and happy as a person. My friend, my partner the universe, the non human, that also doesn't fret about anything in the "real world" like jobs money and bullshit.

It is relaxing because I am just feeling my body breathing and being satisfied in just that. Our bodies are amazing....how strange to be alive....why suffer because someone else built suffering for you. why not just be happy in your own mind and revel in your very existence.

Go out tomorrow and do something new.

I've always felt that kinda way about the Ocean and Space. Both are big massive things, almost scary and unknown but still wonderful and peaceful and natural.

We are small, but our minds are pretty big. Which sometimes is a down side. We think too much and let stupid shit get to us. Maybe these pics remind us somehow that our problems aren't even that big at all
