About two days ago, I left home in St. Louis. There are a lot of reasons. The one I originally went with was the one most people reference: When I was 13, I got frisky with a 13 year old girl. In MO, anyone who has sexual contact and is under 14 is raped. So, by MO laws, we committed statutory rape on each other. We broke up, she told her parents, they took it to the police. The police said that there wasn't any actual raping going on, we were just two stupid teens. But, the problem was that I did try to go all the way with her, and she said "no". Actually, that really is how it works. The case almost went to court, but they froze it on the grounds of a lack of evidence of actual rape. You are going to get robbed and hurt in NOLA. Your best bet is to head straight west to Los Angeles. Once you get there there are two places you need to go: first go to Hollywood by yourself during the day and check everything out. When you are done with that, hop the buses if its still the same I believe its the 3 to the 33 and go to Venice. There have always been bands of squat punks and cool streetwise cats out there. I packed a bag and just went to Venice when I was 22, best and craziest experience I've ever had.
