Ask a guy who lucid dreams 5 times a week and uses it to solve waking life problems anything.

Don't ask how to lucid dream because there are more than enough resources for that. In my experience FILD always worked for me.
>>
did nofap for a week and obtained lucid dreams

srs
>>
What problems do you solve? How much of it is sex? Exactly how realistic IS it?
>>
>>558899721
Notice any benefits from nofap?
>>
>>558899647
In what way do you use it to solve real life problems?

At one point I could do it around twice a week but only found it to be fun and at best give me a slightly better rest.

>>558899818
As far as realism goes once you improve dream recall, its fucking insane how detailed some things are. I remember at one point holding my hand under a tap and feeling the running water through my fingers because i was "testing" my dream.
>>
I've lucid dreamt every night since I was a kid and I thought it was normal. Kinda wish I didn't so Id already have like a situation up instead of me literally building one.
I often google random things or historical events to recreate now.
>>
>>558899647
5 times a week is too much, it'll become harder and harder to have normal sleep cycles and there a some severe side effects to it
>>
>>558899907
aside from the lucid dreams I woke up feeling better but that's it.. also relapsed on day 8 so it might've been too early for results
>>
When I lucid dream, I am aware of the fact that I dream, yet unable to change the outcome of my situation. Why?

When you lucid dream, can you spawn a big homophobic cucumber that can fly through walls and levitate ?
>>
>>558900175
Similar thing happened with me.
The situation was already laid out and i could wander around and had control over my own actions but couldn't change the world around me.

Think it comes with practice.

>>558900145
I'm pretty sure lucid dreaming doesn't affect your normal sleep cycle.
>>
>>558899647
how does it feel to die in a lucid dream? once i shot myself in the head and it felt like going too deep underwater, and then i woke up
>>
>>558899818
>Exactly how realistic IS it?
It looks like real life. All your senses are also intact. If you were to spawn any type of foods and eat it, it would taste exactly the same.
>What problems do you solve?
Anxiety related, inability to speak to girls without spilling spaghetti etc. I destroyed my fear of public speaking and heights. I'm also extremely comfortable around hot girls now and I have less inhibitions.
>How much of it is sex?
Probably a quarter of my dreams are sex related.
>>
>>558900145
The only problem i'm having now is discerning what is real and what is a dream. I've had so many false awakenings.
>>
>>558900380
I didn't say that, I said it will be harder to have normal sleep cycles because you get addicted to it. I've been doing it for about 5 years now and there were times when I had lucid dreams every night. I had some serious issues with fatigue during the day and constant "déjà vu" feelings.
>>
I envy you OP, I want to lucid dream so bad but I've had it like 2 or 3 times in my entire life. Tried all the common techniques but at most I'm lucid for a few moments then the control over the dream starts slipping (and that doesn't happen a lot anyway). Also sleep paralysis is no fun :(

Any substances to avoid or anything? I do smoke weed on a weekly basis, that's said to inhibit the process but there's no real research about that I think
>>
>>558901142
Fair enough, I get what you're saying now. Still if 5 times is too much... how could you even begin to reduce the amount?
>>
please confirm you are really lucid dreaming before starting a killing spree.
>>
>>558900645
The experience is subjective, it depends on what your subjective expects. I don't usually feel pain in dreams but there are those times where the dream turns into a nightmare and the pain feels very real, one dream almost made me quit LD because of it.
>>
how to lucid dream?
>>
>>558900380
I love it when I'm like " Fuck it ..I feel like flying right now" And just take off like super man. Best thing ever.

How many times do you use it to bang Taylor Swift? Any other celeb? How was it? Did she take it in the ass/swallow?
>>
>>558901816
Fuck sake, I can't even do that.
Most of my dreams consist of just wandering around and exploring usually just at walking speed. It's still fucking fun though.

How does that work? I thought the entire point of a lucid dream is that you control it? Couldnt you just wish the monster or whatever away? Or better yet, a weapon to kill it yourself?

Speaking of which, have you ever dreamed of things like adventure movies? Like going to slay a dragon or take on a space demon or some shit? Since you control it, can you even lose?

Experienced dreamers. I need your help.

I am currently writing a help-guide which will, if used a long time, help you control certain situation in dreams.
If you want to include something, please go ahead.

## Telepathic
Focus really hard with your eyes on an object and it will move by

1) The eye, look to the left and it will move to the left vice verca
2) The brain, imagine where you want the object to move

## Death
If you're going to die, e.g. being shot, or you now you're going to die, e.g. nuclear bombs falling from the sky and you're dead in 1 second.
Take a deep breath, close your eyes and relax. You will wake up in 1 second.

##Below water
Don't hold your breath. Try to breath and you will see that it is no danger.
>>
>>558904915
Some things I would like to now how to fix.

If you fight and you're slow as a snail?
If you try to run/do something and you're slow as a snail?

Lucid dreaming has has my interest in a longer period of time now, but I've never gotten around to actually try and induce it.
But what I've discovered is that after I started reading about this, and having it in the back of my mind; I now remember several dreams, every single night. All of them. Detailed. And they feel alot more realistic.
I've also had a few insidents where I think In my dream "This is a dream" and even dreaming about lucid dreaming.
What should be my next step?

Also, my soul interest in this is to fuck girls. I'm not even ashemed. Done that? What is it like? I've heard It's one of the hardest things to accomplish while lucid.

not op but I have it every now and then (because lucid dreamer)
If you know what it is, it isn`t that bad. It can be a bit scary if you don´t. Usually when the paralysis sets in, you are already dreaming and don´t feel much of it. I have to concentrate on my body to feel it.

It´s a lot of humming/rumbling sounds with a heavy body feeling, kinda like pretty heavy stoned.

The reason people think it´s bad is because they don´t know it, therefore they panic because wtf can´t move, can´t breathe. They open the eyes and actually dream with open eyes. The panic basically induces a nightmare, so if you fear spiders, there will probably a lot of big spiders crawling around on you, with you beeing unable to scream or do anything.

Pretty cool. I wish I had more LD like op though.
>>

I am so fucking angry at my self.

Look, I have trained lucide dreaming a lot of times but all the times I done it I have given up.
>But...
Because of all the training, I ALWAYS fall into a dream stage where I know I'm dreaming but always panicking because of dream paralysis.
If I just could skip that fucking paralysis I would lucid every fucking night.

>fyi i planned to go full 9/11 with my body huehue
>anyway I wanted to fuck

>>558905248
>OP what problems have you solved through lucid dreaming? could you give us some examples?

Talking with girls, simulating rejections and learning how to handle them, simulating uncomfortable situations so I get used to them and just in general raising my confidence.

Public speaking, job interviews and uncomfortable situation.

Expanded my comfort zone. Some days i'd simulate normal life but just do whatever the fuck I want. This carried over to real life after a while.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

>>558907165
I had it like 2-3 times. The problem is in the moment you have it, you won´t realize you have it because you are getting absobed by the dream. I can´t describe it different.

The best way to do is probably going to bed and set an alarm. Then stay awake for a few minutes, I usually take a piss and drink some water, and then go back to bed. The chances are better if you focus on your body rather than on your mind. Or if you have some experience with lucid dreaming, focus on your mind until you start slipping into the dream and switch to focusing your body again. Can be a bit tricky to do that.

>>558907568
do it, I also got a phase where I want to actively want to dream lucid

>>558907602
I did not hear songs in mine. Usually its rumbling or humming. I heard my father shouting my name over and over. And it started getting sped up and high pitched over time until I was within the dream.

That feeling when you lucid dreams and want to commit sexual acts, but feel guilty as if it's real life.

I hate this. I always feel extreme guilt by peers in my dreams. I guess I'm aware I'm dreaming, but don't fully understand there are no consequences for my actions in the dream.
>>
>>558907165
lay still until your body falls asleep, you gotta keep your mind awake.

I meant, when the alarm goes off, stay awake a few minutes.

>>558906559
Do you focus on your body or on the images in front of your eyes? It´s just sleep paralysis, that´s defenitely not gonna kill you. Just chill, keep your eyes closed and try to think of like... beeing on a lake in the sun or whatever place you want. Do NOT actively do something, just observe until you are fully dreaming. Also do NOT think about your body.

I know people who get sleep paralysis regularely, but it´s fucking easy to go from SP to LD. I wish I had it more often.
>>
>>558899647
I do it quite often, my mind almost always can realize if i'm awake or dreaming, (hint: if you are not in you mom's basement....) but i find that it "looses connection" and becames less clear while more i change it.

For example, i realize i'm dreaming and i say, okay, this is shit, and out of nowhere i bring a women to fuck with, and i can feel the first 2 minutes, loosing visual stimuli rapidly but retaining the physical one for a while until it kinds of fade's away and i'm awake.

I could never do it for a long time enough for an adventure or such.
>>
What are the chances this shit can turn into a nightmare? Because that is the reason I would never try this. Nightmares fuck me up and haunt me fore weeks after.

Can you control it, even if it slips into a nightmare? How would that even work? Like, instead of running from a monster, you pull out a gun and fight it? As long as you can control it, it doesnt seem like a nightmare would be scary.

Also, if you KNOW its a dream, can you end it and wake up whenever?
>>
>>558909234
it's much more fun when you realize that there won't be any consequences at all, but i can see why that's an issue for some. when i get enough time to dream, i'm able to gain full control over my dreams (including myself, other people/things, and the environment around me), so i guess that's why the "consequences" thought never occurred to me mid-dream.

>>558905760
I started lucid dreaming and all i did was fuck girls. I realized I was dreaming and pulled in a girl. I usually can not control the place that i'm at tho. Once you realize your dreaming, don't wake yourself up with the realization
>>
Seriously Anons I implore you to learn to LD. It may take you a day, a week or even a month to achieve it, stay consistent and you will eventually do it.

Some of the best moments of my life were in a lucid dream. That might sound stupid or even sad but believe me when I say that if you knew just how real the experience feels, you'd understand me.

Just remember to read on how to stabilise and maintain a dream.
>>
>>558899647
I lucid dream very often but it is very hard to obtain absolute control e.g. creating things etc.

One night I had a lucid dream with a travel theme, it's very common for me, basically this was the weirdest thing that happened in my life.
I had perfect recall of the dream. I instantly grabbed my voice recorder and spoke about my dream for almost 20 minutes.

My dream was basically only about being on a festival and talking with people. The people there however claimed to be dream travelers means they were real people who occasionally met within a dream. A lot of stuff was going, every now and then I rehear the record and it always give me the creeps, in a positice way.

Tldr OP have you ever met people in your dream who claimed to be dreaming aswell?
>>
>>558910082
Fucking will wake you up in most cases. Try something else.

There are also ways to stabilize the dreams, if you are quick you can stop yourself from waking up. One that works good is rubbing your hands together or touch your surroundings. Try to actively feel everything.

When you wake up from a dream, you can train yourself to keep your eyes closed. Don´t move and just keep calm. You can reenter dreams within like 10 seconds if you pull this of.

>>558910493
When you are luzid, even the worst nightmare isn´t really a nightmare. If you fear that giant fucking monster hunting you, just turn around and start talking to it. Or blow it up by thinking about it. Or fly away.

When I´m lucid I never want to wake up, so I´ve never tried it. I´ve heard from some people that thinking about waking up usually works. Or think about your body.

>>558911403
I know what you´re talking about. Real life has some pretty cool stuff, but nothing beats flying around and doing all kind of crazy stuff with the most realistic feeling you can have. It will take probably another 10-15 years until virtual reality is even close to that. And still won´t be as awesome.

I´ve never had a nightmare while lucid. I haven´t even had a nightmare since years.
>>
>>558910493
Ehhh it will never feel like a nightmare because you know it's false, but it can get pretty shitty

One the first times i did it i remember making my body grow and not being able to stop it, and started getting stuck in the room like it was a tiny cupboard, so i panicked and tried to make myself small again, and then me and the room started diminishing in size so i still was stuck in it.
I proceeded to convince myself to wake up not to disappear into smallness.

But yet, nothing alike a real nightmare, just a bit of lack of power's control.

Yes, you can wake up when you want to.
>>
How do I lucid dream? I want a guaranteed method. Any drug you can take? I've heard salvia might work.
>>
>>558904494

I use to lucid dream alot, but i ended up having a some really fucked up ones.

Some kind of deteriorating cycle, dream is going well, looked into my mirror, everything normal, start dream thinking about things i've seen in movies about mirrors, lose control, eldritch horror shit starts occuring, my face started drooping, then melthing, then from the mirro eyes on stalks made of TEETH, and chitin plates with tiny mouths always screaming- and then i woke up.

On the upside i had some fucking epic ones where i teleporting/flying/superspeed.

This would be so fucking rad. Imagine all of 4chan meating together at night in our dreams. We'd build a fucking city for ourselves, with nigger slaves, loli-maids etc. Half of us would walk around like traps screaming stupid shit, eating junk food drinking mountain dew and fucking eachother.

Can you even begine to imagine...
>>

There´s no guaranteed method afaik. Just take the long path, it´s worth.

Lucid dreaming is so worth the effort

To everyone who can’t seem to pull it off, just keep at it

I remember my first full blown WILD

>dat feeling of being sucked through a vortex of sound and strange visual patterns as I fell asleep while being conscious
>suddenly I was in a beautiful forest
>completely aware of it being a dream, yet it felt so fucking real, waaaay more real than waking life
>the wind on my face, the sounds of the forest, the texture of the stuff I touched
>kept exploring, experimenting with manipulating the environment
>truly amazing experience
>>

I'm pretty sure that is how one talks with aliens.

Do you hook up with girls you know / celebreties? If so how do you locate said girls? Or are you like God Tier in your dreams and make them appear.
>>
How do you lucid dream? What is the most effective method? I tend to realize I'm dreaming, but then immediately try to wake up as a reflex. There have been instances in which I have been able to stay asleep, but I can't control anything and often go back to normal dreaming after failing to fly.

Have you anons ever found a girl in your dreams who is so damn beautiful you don't want any other? You think you know her but you can't tell who she is? That once you meet her she keeps reappearing in your dreams?

Do any of you anons know this girl? You should all have it (unless you are gay or a woman, in that case is a man), and you should dream with her at least once in your life, if you are maturing correctly.

Yes.
Thought I was alone with that.
Still miss her. Still love her. Don't care how faggy that sounds because its true as fuck.
>>
>>558914876
I have had this really life-like dream where I met the perfect girl, once a few years ago and once a few months ago. I was sad for days when I realised it was just a dream.
>>
>>558902431
some of my best dreams was on weed / psychedelics.

I can lucid dream, and do dream resurfacing, which honestly is a lot harder than lucid dreaming.

Jumping back into a dream you've had before. It's like living a thousand lives, only that in the other 999 lives you're a fucking god (if you choose to be.) I've died a lot, dying is still a heart attack for me though, because let me tell you, you can die a lot of different ways.
>>
>>558899907
Feels good not wasting your time. Wet dreams are a pain in the ass.
>>
>>558899907
Increased mental/physical energy, better perception and predictive abilities, no depression, greater luck the longer it's kept going. I only fap about once a month anymore, but I feel like I'm dying for a week or so following it now, so I try to avoid doing it as long as possible. Get to 64 days and sperm production/breakdown is equal and at full capacity. I've noticed the testicles are like a second brain and you can use them for direct control over reality under certain conditions.

Emilia Clarke mostly. Megan fox, Emilia blunt and literally any celebrity I think is hot. I fucked my teacher way too many times.

I remember a girl I knew from school made a move at me in my dream and after a few lucid dreams I actually started liking her and talking to her. Eventually we started going out and having sex for real.

For the above reason I try not to fuck my friends girlfriends in case I get emotionally attached. Still do it occasionally though.
>>
>>558905212

Especially if I go to throw a punch, it will have so much force behind it until the second before it hits, and it just slows down into a tap
>>
>>558914876
I have, but she never reappears, which is frustrating as fuck. The dream often revolves around me meeting her once or twice and then being unable to find her again.

I hate those dreams.
>>
>>558914876
I think I had one but I can´t tell for sure. Be aware that people in dreams are a mix of people you meet in real life, even if you don´t take a second look at them (e.g. in the bus)

That´s why you know her, but you can´t tell who she is. There you go heaven. Do a lucid dream and meet her again, ask her who she is.
>>
>>558913683
It was a pretty crowded china like festival. 1 Person approached me and welcomed me in a sense. Not all the people were real people the majority were well let's call them NPCs. I then talked to various other people and they explained how it is impossible to deliberately meet or chose someones dreamscape and that it is just a random occurrence.

One could say now why I wasn't asking for their real names and it's a justified question for which I don't really have an answer. Logic is not really a thing in dreams not even in lucid ones. At least for me.
>>
>>558915421
Me too!
Does it happen to you where you meet her in your dreams every couple of years and when you do meet in the dream, its one of the strongest memories of your life?
Godamn miss her so much. Its been years. The ones where I meet her again are the best dreams I ever had.
>>

I have had a realistic dream not lucid because i did not do reality checks but i was on my balcony and it randomly starts to rain, like full blow hurricane. Lightning is striling everything i am just standing there watching lightning hit lightning rods. Randomly a glasshouse forms around my balcony but rain is still coming through but lightning is not. My couch and living room set appear on my balcony which has extended enough to fit everything. I sit and continue to watch the lightning then randomly a plane crashes into my neighbor's house and blows up all without damaging anything. And my neighbor comes out the plane unharmed and rings like my door bell. I wake up and realize my door bell is actually ringing.

She is called the anima, it symbolizes the parts of the female psyche that men have to integrate to their personalities to be fully emotional developed. She exists in yourself although it may be that you have never realized you are like that.

It takes the form of your love fantasy, and it is deeply connected to falling for people you just met because "you know is right" (she is mirroring your anima).

It has to do with how much you open up emotionally to life, that's why some of you always see her, some of you sometimes, and some of you had only seen her once an never again.

In my whole life i saw her many times, first i saw her from afair, then I was rejected by her for years, then accepted as a friend, then ended up kissing and fucking her, and then she ended up killing me. Last time i saw her we just talked and smiled at each other like long last friends. It's one of the weirdest things of my life.

>>558916738
Not in a girly sense though, it has to do with emotion, creativity, virtue, and intuition, and things that escape the male paradigm of strength and logic.

In women case its symbolizes the opposite, their strength and ability to stand up on their own feet, their logical thinking, the ability to remain cold and react, instead of being just emotional wrecks.
>>558917180
Sounds very symbolic!

I recommend that if you are interested in the subject look for something from Jung, or even alchemy, but i would recommend Jung because it is fairly intellectual, recognized as valid by academia, and it's not dirty from religion ideas.

It's just maturity/development in a symbolic way, which he says is the language of our dreams, which is why dreams are a main focus of his psychological analysis, though he leaves interpretation to the dreamer because only himself can understand his own head's symbols.

sleep paralysis is completely harmless, even though it might frighten you if you don´t know what happenes. It happens every time, it keeps you from flailing your arms around while dreaming and so it´s quite important. Not dangerous at all.

Do reality checks, write your dreams down. It´s very hard to go to bed in the evening and directly land a lucid dream. Instead wake yourself in the morning, stay awake a couple of minutes, then go to sleep again. The REM phases get longer in the morning, that makes it easier to get into a dream.

>>558919904
It took me months to have my first lucid dream. I got it using the WILD technique. After weeks of not being able to do it again, I started using FILD. I managed to start doing 2-3 times a week. Then I started learning MILD and DILD just in case. Eventually even if my techniques failed on some days I still became aware during my dreams.

I had a year worth of free time when I started and used to be a NEET. I was obsessed with this.

I looked into LD a long time back (like 5 years ago). Only ever had one lucid dream and it only lasted literally seconds. I had some very vivid dreams though, it was pretty awesome. I need to try it again... always wanted to be able to do stuff to solve problems in the waking reality.

I had an awesome lucid dream as a kid. I was in jurassic park and then a trex attacked. Right before the car I was in was going to get eaten I distinctly remember thinking "this is a dream." Then I punched the trex in the face and it exploded.

Can you control what happens in your surroundings at all times in your lucid dream?
What about your vision in the lucid dream, is everything blurry or is it all clear?

Lucid dreaming as such doesn't actually exist. It is simply the mind filling in the "blank" from normal sleep. Post facto you're filling in a mental story after you've already woken up. You think you're remembering a dream you had earlier when in actual fact your just making it up as you go along
>>
This is embarassing but i found it easy to lucid dream when i used to be inlove with 'that girl' at school the hottest girl in school. So i'd dream and the horny in me would be like, hmm can i find her in this realm and id search for her to see if i could fuck her astrally.
>>
i know im dreaming but im always too lazy to do anything about it why cant i get up and create shit
>>
So, I thought Dreaming is something essential to humans like eat and drinking. Wouldnt lucid dreaming fuck with that somehow?
>>
>>558899647
How? I've been trying for 6 months and I didn't get any. Sometimes I RC in a dream but forget that I did it. Once I actually did it and entered a dream but then I forgot to RC and I just dreamt on.
>>
>>558931175
Yes you can, sometimes things might not work though. It also has sort of a own will.

The vision is clear, but that also varies from kinda dark and blurrish to hyperreality (seeing every dent and scratch on a wall with extreme sharpness) also colors are sometimes very bright and sometimes kinda greyish.

When you're dreaming about talking to those girls, are their personality pretty accurate? Do you think your brain is actually accurately predicting what that girl would say or do irl?

a year or so ago I have lied down and stopped moving until my body fell asleep.
BUT I kept my mind awake.
I started feeling heavy pressure on my chest and hearing weird ass shit.
I kept doing this for about 15 minutes.
After this I started seeind weird shit too. Patterns of light. Then it went full hallucination and I was tripping balls.
It was so scary that I had to stop and not sleep for the rest of the night.

I was experiencing some terrifying shit, even though I knew what was going to happen.
Was this sleep paralysis?
>>
guys how to lucid? anyone can link me a good guide?

>can you actually fully taste the food and receive real pleasure from it
Yes, this sounds amazing but it is dwarfed by the feeling of flying.
>When you're dreaming about talking to those girls, are their personality pretty accurate?
Only if I know them well, if not the brain tries to improvise which isn't always 100% accurate but still useful for practicing. Sometimes they act out of character completely.
>>
>>558933008
not him, but by experience I have found out that the lucid dream is what you are currently thinking about.
So if you imagine a girl being there, then there's a girl there.
And then you're like "woah that's just what I thought!"
Now if you'd imagine how it would look like if the girl was floating, then that's what happens.
I think that's also why "dreams turn into nightmares" when you get terrified.
You think "WHAT IF THERE WAS A SPIDER, I FUCKING HATE SPIDERS" and then there's a spider there. Then you run. You think "shit, it's gonna stab me with its giant legs" and it does.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes you can eat and taste food. You don´t really need it though, I can´t remember beeing hungry in a dream, but for the taste it defenitely works.

This varies. It probably is quite accurate, but I don´t think this works for me. At least not with girls since I know for sure from some of them that they would not fuck me and I still fucked them within the dream.
>sadfrog.jpg

I also had people suddenly change from beeing one person to another mid sentence.

>>558933678
Yes that sounds like sleep paralysis, but 15 minutes? This shouldn´t take you longer than 10 seconds. Try not to force yourself into the dream just observe what you see and don´t do anything until you can´t feel your body anymore. Then slowly start with an RC.

I was hearing a person outside of my house. I was able to hear the person because of the window in my room.
The person was banging on a metal sheet with some kind of hammer.
Like CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK
This went on for the entire time I was in that state.
I only realised this sound was not real when I moved my body and "woke up" to stop whatever was happening.
Because then it stopped in an instant.

Later when the visual shit was happening, I also heard voices talking shit with changed pitch every now and then.
Or other random "sound effects".

I did once. We briefly met/talked in an elevator, and held each other. Maybe we kissed, I cant recall the last bit of the encounter. But the experience was amazing. I think that was love. Something I have never felt for a girl.

Then I saw this girl in one of my classes who looked exactly like her. And I think that the dream girl WAS her, as I had been to that class 1-3 times before the dream occurred. I never really thought about her before the dream. But after the dream, all I could do every class was just stare at her in awe and how she was perfect.

Why does my subconscious like her more than my conscious? What did my subconscious see in her that I missed?

Man, I should have talked to her, huh? Well, shes probably still in school. I could see her around during the fall semester. Hopefully.

>Black and white version of me lying staring at me
>Creepy person staring at me

And there it is. Shit like this that deters me from ever, EVER wanted to try lucid dreaming. Just one experience with that would fuck me up.

Why does this happen though? Why do people hallucinate during sleep paralysis? I thought that its just waking up, but your body wont move. Why would you see things? Why is it anything more than just "I cant move, dang it. Gotta wait it out".

1. Get into a habit of reality checking yourself every hour or so
2. Keep a dream journal
3. Stay consciously focused on your waking world
4. before falling asleep as night tell yourself over and over that you'll have a lucid dream

Took me about a month to have my first, so my advice is stay consistent patient.
They get better as you get better

This happened to me as well, started in a music festival, a girl came up to me, she had black hair and wore a black dress with gold trim, said we were both dreaming, I had already realized this but when she said she was dreaming to everything changed, the setting went from the music festival to the down town part of the city I grew up in. She led me into this building, the outside was normal like in real life but the interior was completely different. We went up this staircase to this room with dark wooden floors, I said "well now what?" And she burst into tears and said "Brett I wish I could show you" then all of a sudden I find myself drifting in a river on the outskirts of the city, a place I'd been before, the girl was standing on the bank of the river but it was an embankment so she was about 10 feet above me. There were others there now and they were running with the current following me, all of a sudden I get swarmed by these fisher cat like things and they start biting the fuck out of me. I felt the pain, it was overwhelming, they were clenching on to my legs and arms but I kept drifting, the pain grew and grew until I woke up, when I awoke I still felt the pain but it dissappaited. That girl has been stuck in my head ever since, I keep trying to bring her back into my dreams but she never comes.

How do you wake up from a lucid dream if you're having a nightmare?
>>
>>558938227
>>558938370
It is a schism of your consciousness that you give form to. By doing this you give your tulpa a personality and an image.
Its quite a long process but by the end of it you will essentially have another person that you can only see inside your head. They will have their own thoughts, wishes and ambitions.
Coolest of all though, you can switch places with em if you are good enough and let them steer your body for a while, while you become the tulpa.

There is far, far more to this but it would take me ages to write it all.
>>
Ok so last round of questions because tired.

>>558936317
Hallucinate is the wrong word. You are already dreaming during sleep paralysis. This is the only moment you can dream with open eyes.

>>558937328
Shadowpeople? Sounds like fun. I´ve never experienced it, and never heard of it. But I don´t think I´d have to be scared. If you refer to the feeling of beeing watched/beeing actually watched during sleep paralysis, then it´s just a dream.

>>558938350

>>558938801
tell yourself you wanna wake up. But if you are lucid, there is no reason to wake up. That would be a wasted lucid dream.

And I´m out. Was a good thread, wish you a lucid night then.
>>
>just arrived in thread and can't be arsed reading

I've lucid dreamed for my entire life and am trying to learn to control it.

Anyone else here notice that urging fights in a dream, your punches slow to a snail pace while the other guy pummels you? I also have severe problems walking sometimes as a wind blows me back - it's like I'm as light as a feather and just can't keep going no matter what I try

Managed to get flying and time control mastered, I always remember to turn back time by a few seconds if I spaghetti with a girl or during a presentation

Sometimes my brain Wales up from the dream and my body doesn't though - so I'm sort of trapped in a weird purgatory and unable to move, as if I'm paralysed. Anybody know a cure for that? It fucking sucks, so claustrophobic
>>
>>558939135

He would slip in to lucid dreams where his fantasies would try to kill him and he developed insomnia.

these fuckers right here. during sleep paralysis they creep around the room and stare at you, sometimes morphing into people that you know.
>>
Not sure if an LD or not but it a realistic dream occurs for me when i don't get enough sleep.
example, ill go sleep at 3am, be woken by a noise at around 9am, be awake for a few minutes a fall back asleep, i would then usually have a 20 minute spell asleep, then wake and repeat the process.

Situations in which ive found a problem in my dreams are, i can't get them from falling asleep for the first time
Once im in the dream when i eventually get down to fucking someone, i always struggle to find the whole (wtf)

or if i try hit someone i either miss or it tickles them.

I'd love to know if these are lucid dreams.

Ive also had the same dream numerous times.
>>
>>558939037
But whats the fucking point?
You don't get new information, you would just argue withyourself, I could already do that but without having it end in some crazy shit cause my other self has another personality.

The way I see it is that its just some way to cope with lonliness.

I'm being sceptic, but thos are legit concerns of mine. I already see no point in living, why should I live in some "fake" reality?

I once looked into a mirror in a realistic dream where I was not lucid in.
I checked the mirror and saw myself.
But I was ENTIRELY BLACK.
Like I worked in a coal mine for 2 weeks, with weird black dust all over my face and shit.
But it was normal to me, it didn't feel off.
So later I woke up and went into the bath.
I saw the normal me and was actually shocked for a few seconds, because I was not black.
I got so used to the fact I had black stuff on my skin when I was dreaming that I got scared in real life.

Shit, mirrors fuck you up.
>>
I am physically incapable of lucid dreaming. I've tried every guide I could possibly find to no avail. I also never remember any of my regular dreams, for instance, I could be having the worst nightmare of my life, but the instant I wake up I immediately forget what I was dreaming about. Does this mean I could be lucid dreaming, but I just don't remember it, or would I be able to remember a lucid dream, considering I'd be somewhat conscious?
>>
>>558939796
The human brain is conditioned to attempt to recognize faces and human shapes in everything. This is just another manifestation of that.
>>
>>558939904
Um... well no offense but you seem to have the wrong idea about what a tulpa is.

>>
>>558940436
Yeah I already did that. Too many of those threads on /b/ and /x/. It's just that no one can tell me another reason except for it cool to have a person talk to.
I can already do some reflective thinking on my own. So I don't see any gain.

Why do you do it?
>>
>>558939796

Used to see these fuckers constantly when I was a kid. In the yard. They never came in the house, just stayed outside and watched me through the windows.
>>
A tulpa just sounds like force split personality to me.
If you can get over fearh of heights with lucid dreaming thats fine. But can't see any other points that would be worth the hassle. I imagine you could get anything way better in real life.
