I don't know how old you are or your circumstances, but I want to give you general advice on this matter.

NEVER have kids without establishing a stable foundation first, which allows you to offer them a secure, quality life. Let's be realistic. This takes a long time, unless you happen to be born filthy rich. Also you will probably not end up in a position to maintain this level for a family with 4 kids. 5. Yes and no. Everyone has 'self esteem issues'. If you don't, than you have a outward superiority complex, which I think is much worse.
However, if it starts getting in the way of life then you either have someone who has been abused growing up, or someone who is a attention whore, or both. Avoid that.
