I think autists are well-suited to martial arts. Training helps me a bit with the 'berger syndrome, though I'm really not good at pretending to be socially normal during training (I call brownbelts and up "sir" even if no one else does and won't reciprocate conversation with my peers until after class).

Oh, I do pretty okay in regular social situations these days for that reason, I'm just get all Captain Autismo when training because I want to be focusing on training instead of playing the social game, which isn't natural to me and is therefore distracting. It'd be cool if I mastered social skills enough that I could multask, but I'm not there yet.
