Why I love Baron Corbin


Baron Corbin joins and is a loner. He takes on multiple opponents, defeating them from his natural skill. The matches are quick, and even the ones that weren't, such as his first brief rivalry with Bull Dempsey, result in him winning.
The crowd gets into it at first, counting through his matches. He's happy; this rookie already has a bit of the crowd on his side. He carries on, winning continually, and the crowd start to get worried. See, they've turned this counting thing into a gimmick, and the crowd is conditioned to not want to see gimmicks in the main event. They start to boo, hoping to make Corbin lose more. He doesn't, but he's worried about losing the support of the crowd so soon.
Enter Rhyno.
This old veteran is well respected by the crowd. If Corbin can take down the Rhyno , the crowd are bound to support him. He tries to beat Rhyno, but ultimately falls short. He has a devastating loss when he needed it the most. It's ironic: the crowd hated him because he never lost, and now that he has lost against a fan hero like Rhyno, they still boo him.
He thinks it's the end, but Rhyno doesn't. Rhyno sees what Corbin did, and he respects the struggle. See, Rhyno knows the struggle. He's been through it. He wrestled with Edge and Christian when he started out, before ECW, before WCW. They wrestled on the then-independent circuit until E&C got their break in WCW or WWF. The up-and-coming team that had started got separated. What's more, E&C got promoted while their friend Rhyno got left behind. He was always the odd one out.
