You have to admit that the quality of Divas Takeover matches have earned them their focal point position in NXT. The women's matches have stolen the show for the last couple Takeovers. The last great men's match for the NXT title was when Zayn won the title. Owens' reign wasn't too interesting and he was moved up to raw half way through it. Balor winning it in Japan wasn't a great match either. It should have been much better. And their rematch was gimmicky crap. Bayley winning the title was one of the best moments in NXT history probably since there was so much emotion behind it and it was technically a great match.

But really though Finn vs Joe will be the focal point of the upcoming Takeover, they seem to be building it up pretty well. Hopefully the match lives up to the hype though. Finn really needs to put on a great match because he really hasn't had any in NXT so far. Beast in the East should have been that match but it wasn't.

4 way tag matches always seem crowded, especially if they have the silly "Only two wrestlers in the ring at once" rule. It needs to be a Tornado Tag match or TLC (fitting with the main roster PPV) or some shit, but I REALLY don't know if you want to put a bunch of developmental wrestlers in something like a TLC where they could kill themselves.

Hell, ANY 8 man match is going to have a lot of details to pay attention to that might be a bit too much for developmental wrestlers to manage the entire match without a screw up.

Roman has had some better matches recently. This was about in line with what I expect out of him. Basic competency with regards to taking moves and shit, hit his spots, some back and forth leading to Superman Punch + Spear = Win.

He's been more able to carry his own weight, but if he was in there with guys like Swagger or something instead of Bray and Cesaro, it'd be a disaster, while guys like Cesaro could probably get a decent TV match out of your average /wwe/ poster.

I know what you mean, blood is largely just a gratuitous way for mediocre wrestlers to add shock value to a match. But it does have a place in the blow off of bitter feuds at a PPV they had been playing up as extra violent for weeks. If anything, it was diminished by Vince and Dunn getting their ovaries in a bunch and sending doctors out over it.

In fact, they either need to keep bleeding in certain matches/spots, along with a high level of weapon based violence, or get rid of "EXTREME" PPVs like HIAC, TLC, and Extreme Rules. If you aren't going to bother to actually sell it, just fucking forget about it and find something else to do for your PPV, technically sound, bloodless, bullshit-free wrestling is never a poor idea anyway.
