Ronda was surprised by that tactic and lost control, she was trying too hard to use her standard tactic of making pressure, closing in and getting it to the ground fast.. Holms knew that very well and she also knew she has only slim chances when it would go down. Holms must have spend a lot of time breaking from the clinch and creating distance.

And it was a close call for her, you notice how she was fucking carefull until the very last moment? But she won (and rightfully so), because she had:
-the right tactic
-the nerves to pull it off
-an opponent, who fell for it
