As a purple belt, is it a better investment in the long term to drive a little farther and pay a little more to train under your professor's professor?

should probably ask your coach. Also its gay and pretentious to call a martial art instructor professor unless they actually have a PHd. but you cant have a PHd in martial arts.
>>759212
what do you suppose you call them then, "coach"?
>>759235
by their name you autistic piece of crap
>>759236
if they're 30-40 years older than you that's not formal enough
especially if you're still in HS
>>759238
if you're in HS you shouldn't be on 4chan.
>>759238
Master is perfectly acceptable.
>>759239
HS seniors can be 18-19
>>759240
master even worse.
>>759244
I've called all my martial arts instructors master (insert name)
>>759253
That's kind of weird. Coach is better. I usually use first names.
The only people I would call Professor or Ajarn would be my coach's coach, but they are pretty legendary (even more than him) and I don't know them very well.
Also, you may have to do 100 pushups if you don't say Ajarn in front of Ajarn Chai.

In Portuguese (and other romance languages), professor does not carry the contain of higher academia and simply means teacher. Even grade school teachers in Italy are called professors.

I once grappled with Jorge. Did you know he studied Emei Kung Fu?
I used to do that but I ran out of gas money and time. I'm happier where I'm at now, but I wish I could have managed to train where I used to. However, an hour commute was too much for me.

Yes.
>>759211
Depends what you want really. How far away is the professor's professor?
>>759211
It depends. Is he a better teacher?
