I'd be interested to hear everyone who remembers the WCW era well take on Buff Bagwell.
I was watching old WCW VHS's I have laying around last night and BB appeared in match vs some low card jobber. He wrecked him, it was glorious.
To me he looked to be a real rising star in WCW. Very Sean Michaels-esque.
He looked the part, could fight, had charisma basically all the making of a guy who is not only over but could reach the top. He could have been the champ and worn the belt proudly.
Obviously, there are some fuzzy details about what happened before the Booker-T match but it seems like he may have gotten a raw deal.
Now we all saw how WWF treated the WCW stars so I take solice in the fact that he may have been doomed since the merger no matter what he wouldn't have made it. But did he get the rawest deal in wrestling history, at least in the 90s.
he could've been the next stone cold, im telling ya bro
He was shit and got exposed when he went to WWE
Bagwell is a mark who thinks he was as popular as The Rock.

To be fair Goldberg thought he was hot shit too.

He'd grown lazy and greedy on his fat WCW contract and believed that starting over from scratch and having to prove himself in a new company was beneath him.
He had the tools to be successful but WCW spoiled him, just like a lot of WCW guys from that era.
