>1997
yeah, 1997 its not even a contest either
>>3128096
Good taste, pal
>>3128091
I'm doing a marathon of all the 1997 Raws and PPVs on the network. After, I'll do WCW and ECW. 97 was comfy as fuck
>>3128108
Hardcore TV on the network fucking blows. They remove the TV ads, music, and some of the promos. It's not the same experience at all. Completely neutered.
>>3128108
You should have done them all in order together
>>3128091

It's incredible how much better the product was in 1997 than 1996. WCW/NWO really was incredibly influential. 1996 had a decent storyline or two, but you almost didn't want to watch - even though it was only an hour - because the presentation of the overall product was so mind numbingly terrible.
I can only imagine how awful 1993-1995 must have been.
>>3128138
Its amazing how much better it was in 1997 than 1998
>>3128140
Don't agree, 1998 was incredibly hot and very good in it's own right, but they lost Shawn and Bret which had a huge influence on the product
>>3128138
1996 was comfy as fuck. Love 1996.
2003.
>>3128149
majority of 1998 was fucking awful with exception of Austin/Vince
>>3128163
>Kane vs. Undertaker
>Tyson invades WWF
>the rise of the Rock and his Survivor Series win
>DX vs. Nation
>Highway to Hell was one of their hottest builds ever
>Val Venis and his character brilliance
>Mick Foley off the cell
Don't agree, 1998 was an incredibly fun year and one of their best years of TV ever.
>>3128117
Any way I can torrent old episodes. I know you can buy DVD rips from highspots but it's mad expensive
>>3128174
XWT has a lot of the original rips up.
>>3128129
It's not too late to start that. I just finished the Royal Rumble and a few Raws after
>>3128180
If you want the FULL experience brah, watch them all in order and read Meltzer's dirt sheets from that week (download at XWT). It would be glorious. So much backstage shit happened and rumors that it's actually interesting.
>>3128184
Not for nothing but the Observer rewinds on squaredcircle are pretty cool
>>3128206
Yeah, true, that's actually good enough. Pretty much brings up everything important.
>watching 1997 RAW marathon on the Network
>Lawler just called Goldust 'a flaming fag'
>crowd pops for it
crazy how different times were
>>3128231
A few months later the entire crowd chants "faggot" at HBK. On two different nights.
>>3128281
>ask your mama and sister how gay Shawn is, okay?
BasedBK
>>3128091
1997
>>3128312
>doesn't post a picture
>doesn't post anything
T-thanks
>>3128184
>If you want the FULL experience brah, watch them all in order and read Meltzer's dirt sheets from that week (download at XWT). It would be glorious. So much backstage shit happened and rumors that it's actually interesting.
>brah
>read Meltzer
You are the kind of cancerous fan killing WWE these days. I guarantee you weren't watching then if you can't look at the on-screen story without trying to spoil it. Besides that they did "worked shooting" and stuff way better than the shit Cena did last week, you don't need dirtscraps which almost no one read then, read the Usenet threads instead to see the kind of normal smart fans that existed then, who the companies were targeting, and what they were thinking since you unfortunately weren't there
>>3128231
Times aren't different you flaming faggot, companies are different, and by that I mean their balls are chopped off.
>>3128361
>>read Meltzer
Dave had A LOT more sources back then. He was the age of a lot of the talent. And yes, I was watching then. You're misconstruing "read Dave's reports for fun and some good shit talking behind the scenes" with "what Dave says is the gospel"
>>3128361
The observer was far more interesting then with Heyman writing in to combat what Rob Feinstein said about him and shit. It was just a one stop shop of some general goings on and some good shit about ECW trying to get off the ground and what not. Is Dave livin' in ya head rent-free?
>>3128361
>You are the kind of cancerous fan killing WWE these days.
And I don't watch WWE or any modern wrestling. It sucks.
>>3128376
>>3128385
>>3128388
Alright, fine. But still.
97 maybe but 2000 has some good shit
2000 is my favorite WWE year, 1996 is my favorite WCW year.
2005
