Madness.

If you have any T&A in the product, you can use Sex Appeal for everything. Knockouts with mediocre "top row" skills substitute their Sex Appeal for those when they're in matches using the Eye Candy aim. Knockouts who are fucking boring to listen to can just stand around and look pretty in angles.

Not only are the Knockouts a useful part of the roster, they're the most cost-effective tool you have when booking Impact.
>>
>>3126612
Use Diva Matches and sex appeal angles.
Your best ratings will come from there until you can rely on other shit.

>>3126730
Stop "Lifting the Crowd". The match aims you need are:

Storytelling (once per show)
Eye Candy (whenever the Knockouts work)
Regular
Steal the Show (do what Uncle Eric would do and put out the X-Division in the first match with this aim)

You're an entertainment fed so your angles will lift the crowd. You don't need to bring them down with a quiet match unless you're going to do a Wild Brawl or something later in the card, and I don't think the Impact roster really suits those specific aims.

>>3126763
That one's on you. You decided that Wilcox, a big burly dude who hardly talks, should cut a promo. You decided that Mayweather, an indifferent talker at the best of times, should cut a promo. You could have had the backstage stuff implied and have Cornette cut a promo in the ring then have VOW come out and look like huge dudes who can kill people.

(Next time, rate them on Menace.)

>>
>>3126771
>Change Allie's gimmick
"Not suited to" means nothing. Check the rating in the Roster, if it's average or better the gimmick is fine.

>Never tag her ass with Rosemary again
You can avoid the chemistry penalty by having them work in a trio. Preferably with Gail Kim, so she can teach them, or maybe ODB - though she's not very sexy so don't expect her to do great in an Eye Candy match.

Thanks for the tips.

I'm kind of just dicking around with the tag division until I can hire better tag teams or make better ones out of my current singles roster.

Eddie wants to give the fans a preview of him and Dutt's X-Division title match, challenges Dutt to a tag match. Dutt accepts, Petey walks out, then Dutt asks who Eddie's got.

BOOM! Austin Aries.

I don't really know how to book for "surprise entrance" pops. Rate on overness?

Plans for Aries:

He helps Eddie win the X-Division title, then as Eddie is in the ring after the match celebrating, Austin knocks him to the ground and beats his ass with the belt.

Week after, Austin cuts a promo about taking over the tag division.
>>
>>3126778
>surprise entrance
Depends on how you do it. A surprise entrance for Samoa Joe would probably use Menace, while one for Barbie "Kelly Kelly" Blank would be Sex Appeal and one for Scott Steiner would use Overness at this stage in his career. A-Double is probably Overness, unless you see him doing an elaborate entrance and mocking Sonjay & Petey as he enters, in which case use Entertainment.

>EC3 threw a hissy fit when I tried to have Eli retain clean.
You can manipulate the booking of matches to avoid this. Use "Keep Strong" if the loser is a good wrestler, "Protect" if they're not, and if they still complain try both. What this looks like to the fans is that EC3 was clearly going to win except that Eli got lucky or cheated.

>>3126796
How's the money situation? You've been using a lot of PPA workers on those shows.
>>
>>3126800
Pretty good, I'm only putting out about 80k per month on talent but I'm bringing in like 500k per month between TV, ticket sales, and sponsorship.

Also just picked up Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, and Davey Richards, so I can throw together a couple of A rated tag teams.
>>
>>3126796
It's interesting watch somebody learn to play this game.

I played this franchise for years and still learn new things.
>>
>>3126770
Okay I'm trying to book a knockouts match and I don't see the "eye candy" instruction anywhere.
>>
>>3126813
>just picked up Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, and Davey Richards
Not using owner goals? Fair enough.

>>3126863
It's not a regular match aim (which is a bit of a dick move by Ryland but whatever). In order to book Eye Candy matches in the RWC data set, you need to select the "1 vs 1 Diva" match. That's not set as a default match, so click on the 1v1 pawns in the central Quick Filters column. You should now see a whole host of different 1v1 matches, including the Diva version.
>>
Since this is a general, I wanted to spice up a Thunderverse save I'm doing. Playing AWF and here's the current main storylines going on:

>Silva Dolla is feuding with Angelo Justice, with Hawk sidelined with a kayfabe injury at the hands of Dolla and his Dolla Club, Angelo probably won't win the title but he'll come pretty close
>Hawk will feud with Tyrannus, but Tyrannus and Dolla hate each other and Tyrannus is a dick so I'm wary of pulling the trigger on a Tyrannus push, I'm thinking of shifting Hawk into a feud with Jean-Claude Giroux or even Mo Fury
>Core and Cross are in their heated feud with Cross bringing in Wendigo (Power Giant in the data), Core tries to save his younger brother from Cross' influence but Wendigo reveals he was planning this the whole time, turning on Cross and Core, this could lead to Cross turning face in a reluctant alliance with Core to get rid of Wendigo
>Joe Havanna turned face and formed the 3 Street Kru with Theo Barkley and new signing Alejandro Iglesias, his version of the Dolla Club, he's rapidly getting over
>Garrett South and Derrick Rollins are in a blood feud after South cost Rollins the US title to Ricky Fyre

My question is, who should beat Dolla for the strap? If the storyline with Core and Cross gets over, I'm thinking of giving Wendigo the strap for a month, but part of me wants to build up to Dolla vs. Havanna since Havanna has been getting really over with his face turn.
>>
>>3126889
Playing AWF currently, booking very different from you (just the first month)
-I had Timothy Hawk win the title
-Dolla Club (Silva,Avalanche and Mo Fury) are going to feud a little with upper and midcarders
-Core vs Cross is slow burning and going for bigger gimmicky matches every month until I bring Wendigo to feud with Core.
-Building Cross to be the main heel with a huge stable
-Short feud (bad chemistry) between Patriot and Mountain Albert to build the latter as title contender.
-South won the USA title because I want a tag team with Havanna and Rollins (and probably a future SHIELD rip off)
-Awar is the future so basically need to start building him so is feuding with Giroux over Ariadne attentions.
-I signed Jess Hart to bring some credibility to the division.

And that and bringing positive influence people to control backstage is my first month.
>>
When I fix my pc planning on doing a golden age game to learn the basics. I don't really want Hulk holding the title but should I just keep it on him anyway because he's going to be over? Should I follow the template of having him beat monsters or can he have a competent match with some more interesting heels?
>>
>>3126924
I actually tried to build up Patriot as Dolla's opponent, but my attempt to repackage him as a biker (to offset his bad gimmick rating) bombed hard and he's in jobber to the stars hell (he'll win a good deal of matches though). Angelo's really taken to the sudden main event push (it was either him or Ricky Fyre but I felt Angelo had more upside as a main eventer) and I think Dolla will get some good matches out of him.

Core and Cross are definitely going to have some gimmick matches for me but I thought of going full Attitude Era and have them win the tag titles, give face Cross a run as world champ if the Wendigo angle gets really hot and have a huge Core vs. Wendigo match at Wrestlefest.

>>3126939
Hogan's actually really versatile in Golden Age. You can build up a monster of the month to feed to the Hulkster, but he can also have good matches with Savage, DiBiase, etc. I'd argue keep the title on him while you learn the game.
>>
>>3126944
Good to know, I'll probably mix up the contenders then a few monsters and a few top tier heels. I'll have to make the IC the more interesting belt. Any suggestions for good mid-card feuds? Thanks for your advice, appreciate it.
>>
>>3126944
If you can control Omri Stone attitude,a feud with Hawk is not a bad idea.
They almost always get great chemistry.
>>
>>3126939
John Tenta is a competent heel, brother.
>>
>>3126953
I'd suggest getting Sid Vicious or John Tenta if you want a guy you can easily build up as a monster for Hogan to conquer. See if you can nab Sting too in case you want a guy who can slide into the figurehead role in case things with Hogan go south. For the IC title, maybe have Steamboat feud with Hercules (I think he's signed to WWF around that time), Butch Reed, Dino Bravo and Rick Rude? Other midcard feuds I'd suggest is Volkoff and Iron Sheik vs. Jim Duggan and Junkyard Dog and Paul Orndroff vs. Koko B. Ware (Orndroff needs rebuilding but could be a great hand).

>>3126955
Yeah, I've done Hawk vs. Omri a few times in previous saves, they usually have damn good matches with each other, but Omri's personality means he fucks up by the end.

Just for reference, if this match had been run as a short Eye Candy match it could have been a fine main event by Impact standards. Although I used slightly different girls, I traded out Madison (over and talented) and Taya (talented) for MJ (green as grass) Rebel (the girl who had a -5 star match with Shelly Martinez).

The reason your show rated poorly is that it was mostly matches. Impact's product (what the fans expect) on TV should be between 40% and 80% matches. If you compare your show to mine, you've got a better main and semi-main - but you've worn out the viewers with all that wrestling beforehand. If you want to book a fed that's almost all matches, try places like NJPW, ROH, or PWG.

You should also bear in mind that a D+ isn't a terrible Impact. If you look at GFW's popularity (SIZE in the office), you'll see that they have poor popularity (Ds and Es) all over the place. To grow the company, your shows don't need to be better than C- - and even Ds will give you mixed results. (This is why that D+ angle was a strong start.)

And as I have this piece of advice from Joseph Park, I should share it. Grado in RWC is a solid part of the roster. He's a mediocre wrestler who should mostly work matches on Xplosion. But even without a lot of popularity he'll do well in Entertainment-based angles. There's a positive feedback here because he'll get himself over and make future angles stronger, and he'll train the entertainment skills of anyone else working with him.

Spud and Eli are similar but somewhat better wrestlers, while EC3 is actually a top wrestler by Impact standards and also very entertaining.
>>
Is Star Quality that big a deal? I've often pushed guys based on that and their entertainment skills.
>>
>>3128831
It's the single most important stat in the game.
>>
>>3128836
What does it do, exactly? From what I've read on forums it helps someone build overness a lot faster and keep it even if they lose, especially in entertainment-heavy promotions.
>>
>>3128831
Yes and no.

SQ gives bonuses to matches and is a weak indicator of a worker's maximum popularity. It's critical for Figureheads and National Battles.

But contrary to >>3128836, you can do fine with low SQ guys and there are definitely reasons to do so when you're small. (Regional or smaller and not necessarily bad at Cult.) If your fed runs mostly on performance, you don't need guys to be really over to get decent ratings. You might even prefer them NOT to be over so they're less attractive to AI predators. Matches can be boosted by careful booking, tag team experience and tag team experience. (Managers are also an option but less reliable.)

I'm learning so much from you, dude, thank you.

So correct me if I have this wrong: if I want to build a given wrestler's skill in a certain area, I should have them work with somebody who is well trained in that area. But if that better-trained worker is mediocre in every other way (i.e. Grado), I should be keeping them on the B show. Do I have this right or am I missing the point?
>>
>>3129226
Hey, no problem. This game is complicated enough that trying to give someone pointers is a learning experience too.

> if I want to build a given wrestler's skill in a certain area, I should have them work with somebody who is well trained in that area.
Kinda. They need to be in a segment where the trainer is using that skill. So obviously working matches is how to improve ring skills and working angles is how to improve entertainment skills, but also a worker won't improve their mic skills from being in an angle in which Jim Cornette is rated on Menace. There are also some skills that can't be taught: the physical and on-camera skills.

As for using the A- and B-shows: you're popularity > performance, so the match skills of the worker don't matter as much. You can pretty much use the A show for matches involving people from the Lower Midcard up. Regarding Xplosion, my advice is to use it for momentum. Get your Enhancement Talents to lose matches to Lower Midcarders and Midcarders who need momentum. If you have top guys on written deals (probably Storm and Eddie), they can work Xplosion as well to train people. You might want to tell everyone working Xplosion to "Keep It Simple" to minimise the risk of injuries. (This is a bit of a pain so maybe save it for Xplosion matches with Storm and Eddie.) It probably doesn't matter if you tank the ratings on the show, but if you need a cheap way to prop it up, just run angles with top talent and have them not appear on-screen. (This would be a highlight package of hype video.)

Speaking of momentum, generating it for the Knockouts is more difficult because they don't have Enhancement Talent pushes. I think that Battle Royales don't reduce momentum for the loser, so you can abuse that. More honestly, you can do one-night deals or short contracts to get female jobbers in and beat them on Xplosion. If they're good-looking jobbers, you can even do this on Impact because Eye Candy is ratings candy at this level.

B-Shows don't affect your popularity so the final rating is irrelevant. (You need a certain level of quality to avoid getting canceled but you'd really have to try to make a show bad enough to incur the penalty.)

All Xplosion does is mean that the angles and matches in it are being seen where it's broadcast. This can affect the overness and momentum of your talent, so there's a point to it, but there's no reason to stack the card.

I feel like if someone can still go and isn't too deep into time decline, they can have a main event push. I remember giving Randy Savage a renewed main event push in a 1994 game because he could still go and draw dimes, same with pushing The Crippler/Lobster Warrior in a Cornellverse game.

It's just soft drugs and she is a positive influence on the other hand.

I always bring her and Shay Kinsella every game I play, both help a lot.
>>
>>3130063
Alright, probably won't be much trouble. I can easily handle Dolla's soft drug habit so I should have no problems with Alexia, and yeah, Kinsella's a great hand.

Definitely thinking of pulling the trigger on a Havanna world title run, he's swiftly becoming one of the most over babyfaces I have and he's a very positive influence, plus he'd be a change of pace for the AWF main event scene. Maybe he scores a huge upset over Dolla on Shockwave with help from Hawk?
>>
>>3130067
Interesting.

You can use that as a background for the future hinted double turn for Dolla and Hawk
>>
>>3130080
I actually really want to have 2017's big angle be a Timothy Hawk heel turn, but I'm worried about losing figurehead benefits. If Dolla turns face, he and Havanna reconcile and fuse the Dolla Club and 3 Street Krew into one big stable. That said I did like the idea of keeping Hawk a face but changing up his character into more of a inspirational leader who mentors younger AWF talent.
>>
>>3129652
Impact isn't popular so nobody is hassling Fleisch to upgrade their guys. (Eli Drake does appear to have gotten a boost lately, but that's about it.)

Even then, they're not so much shit as realistic while other companies are over-rated. The Impact roster is good enough to take you back to Cult without any major signings. Going to National will take so long that some new people are going to necessary (Lashley, Park, and Storm are all heading for age decline), but a lot of Impact stalwarts would still have a role to play at that level. Eddie Edwards is a great hand for anyone, EC3 is good enough to be a main eventer in an International company, etc.

>>3129891
Depends on how big you are and your product. A sports entertainer for a National-level fed could get a main event push as old as 45 if their SQ is high enough. A main eventer in a performance-based fed probably needs to be in their thirties though.

If you're talking figureheads... I guess 35 would be the limit for dubbing someone as The Guy, and preferably not over 33.

How popular was Cesaro? In most mods he has the stats that given a few months of good booking he'll easily have enough pop to win the Rumble and not get most of the top guys salty.
>>
>>3130712
Honestly I don't remember, this was back on tew 2013. He was a mid card guy though, in the months leading up to the rumble I had him cut a few promos and win some matches but he never drew dimes from January to April. I had to add a proven ratings draw to the ME which was originally going to be Punk-Cesaro. I decided on adding Cena and having him take the pin so I could do Punk-Cesaro later. I think the buyrate for it was ok but only because Punk was considered a top tier guy. I don't remember who Cesaro's feud was after Punk but it was the slow summer and forced my hand to have him drop the belt to Cena. You end up realising how awful WWE was at that point because the only guy who could give me a quick ratings boost was Cena. Also keep in mind I was, and still am, pretty awful at this game so I didn't really understand a lot of the mechanics four years ago and would just push my favourites.
>>
>>3130726
>BMJ saving the company after the Cesaro megapush failed and Phil couldn't carry the company
Based, Vince was right all along.

Kidding aside, yeah, the thing is that if you were to do it again in say RWC, make sure to give Cesaro a major singles feud and put him in angles where he'll have Success or Major Success. As long as his recent fortunes and momentum are in the positive to major positive area, he'll get really over and if he has a decent destiny roll, he could easily main event Mania. 2016 is a more cohesive game imo.
>>
>>3130734
>tfw your top drawing feud was HHH-Cena
>tfw your indie darlings tanked ratings

It was a dark time having to give Hunter two promos on one card because he was delivering. Is Cena as talented in 16 as he was in 13? I was getting great scores from him consistently.
>>
>>3130753
Which mod did you use? The main real world mod in 2016 is Real World Chronicles, currently in September, and it's pretty well done. There's some stat problems here and there but the major companies are generally pretty accurate. Cena is really good in the RWC mod, although the way the mod's set up, you could hypothetically replace him with Roman, Jason Jordan or Cedric Rougeau if he starts falling to time decline.

Potential feuds-

MCMG vs The Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards)

Thoughts? Suggestions?
>>

>wanting Steiner to job to anyone

>>
>>3130816
>That crusty old fuck flipped shit every time I asked him to job to somebody.
You can just make him do it. He'll get angry, but that's a personal problem. Keep making him lose to guys until he quits, then you never fired anyone and were a total good brother the whole time. (Don't worry, you'll get to abuse old wrestlers later.)

>Impact Grand (Whatever the fuck that is)
It's a TV championship with a special format. Three 3 minute rounds and judges for decisions. You can simulate it by using the 1v1 and never going past 9 minutes, never using DQs or Count Outs and making heavy use of the Unanimous/Majority/Split Decision finishes, or just give no fucks. (Higher investment options would include setting up a new match type with more non-wrestling time and Count Out/DQs not allowed.)

>Eli vs EC3 vs Lashley
Who's the Face? Consider turning somebody, or add one of your top faces like Moose or James Storm.

>Jay Lethal vs Chris Adonis
For what reason? Adonis on Jeff Jarrett's Impact is Eli Drake's buddy and has the important job of getting pinned so Eli doesn't. You don't have to use him the same way, but I'm not sure what he's doing with Lethal.

>Ricochet vs Austin Aries
Sure. Make sure to put Ricochet in matches with Petey and Matt Sydal to help train him up.

>Allie vs Taryn Tarrell
This will be a ratings beast. Consider letting them Main Event. (Impact has been doing Knockouts at the top of the card for YEARS so this is totally realistic.)

>MCMG vs The Wolves
It's not your fault, but Davey has retired. This should rate pretty well in the matches.

Here's a Grand Championship match with EC3 winning by decision.
>>
>>3130872
>Who's the Face?
Lashley right now. Eli had got wins over both him and EC3, so I tried to have EC3 and Lashley kinda sorta help each other out. Then I made the championship match at Bound for Glory a 1v1v1. Lashley and EC3 were supposed to gang up on Eli, but when Eli won anyways I had EC3 beat the fuck out of Lashley out of frustration, and used that to turn Lashley face.

I'm not sure what to do with Lethal but I want him in the picture for the Heavyweight Title, but I don't want to crowd the top storyline with too many people. I figure since Adonis is Drake's pal, I can use him as a sort of "Gateway" for Lethal to the Heavyweight picture. At the same time, I can use Lethal's popularity to hopefully increase Adonis' or some of my other Upper Mids.

Do you have any tips for how I should be using Bram/Storm/Park? They've got main event level pushes but I've never heard of these guys (I don't really watch Impact) and I'm not sure how they fit in with EC3/Lashley/Eli

Thanks for explaining the Grand to me.
>>
>>3131762
The auto-push to Main Event early on is a function of the mod's bloated Impact roster. Many of the people Fleisch has listed as in contract aren't actually working for GFW now.

Joseph Park is a character invented by Chris "Abyss" Park. He was introduced a couple of years back as the brother of Abyss, a dorky lawyer who was trying to find his lost sibling. Earlier this year, the Abyss character was more or less retired and Park came in as part of the controversial JB/Josh Matthews feud that culminated in a tag match at Slammiversary. (Josh teamed with Scott Steiner, who left the company afterwards - Fleisch's roster is way out of date.) The most recent Park storyline has involved trying to help the Grado character solve immigration problems by getting him married to a Knockout. They eventually settled on Laurel Van Ness, which was all going fine until she revealed that she's Canadian.

If you want to take a steer from GFW, Park is a good entertainer and fairly over, so he'll rate well in angles. He can still wrestle although I'd expect him to be hitting physical decline.

James Storm is still working as an active wrestler and probably hasn't started to decline, but it is in the post. He's also a fairly good entertainer, so you can get a lot of use out of him. If you don't have a definite program, Storm should probably beat midcarders who need the rub and experience and put over the guys in the heavyweight title picture. If he wants you to add Keep Strong, ignore the game text and treat it as a polite reminder from a trusted employee - Keep Strong is a powerful tool that you want to use whenever it's appropriate.

Bram is often derided for his personal history with Ashley "Charlotte" Fliehr but the old maxim "saints have a past, sinners have a future" applies here. He's a solid enough hand who can put on a good brawl. If you like him, give him a gatekeeper position. If you don't, he's brave enough to do stunt/crazy bumps on PPV until one goes wrong.

National battles I find to be much easier then regional, especially because national battles are waged on the star quality abilities of your main eventers, and if you have half a clue of what you're doing, you'll have some top guys with great star quality. Not to mention some mods will have a regional promotion battling a more powerful bunch of regional promotions, some with TV.

Depends on the scenario. Playing Bischoff's WCW in the 2000s it can be pretty hard to go up against WWF's roster, especially as they're going to poach your dudes. Vince just paid 43-year old Sting over $80,000/month to leave me.
>>
>>3133723
Yeah WCW Lives is rough when it comes to that. You either have to try some weight changes and hope the RNG gives the likes of Jindrak, O'Haire, Palumbo good destiny rolls or just endure it until you can resign Goldberg.

Want to make a bunch of signings for my AWF save: I'm thinking of forming a JOB Squad type stable or at least a bunch of guys who can be consistent lower-midcarders, FJ Kendall is on the cards for one. Also signing Mike Frobel but want to repackage him as a killing machine type character with a new name, maybe to form a Shield style stable with Derrick Rollins and Omri Stone. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, my signing strategy was a bit short-sighted so Vince is going to beat on me for the next year. I have a bundle of contracts renewing starting in a few months. That's when I'm going to shed the old guard. No pushes for young guys until I put them on long term deals.

Anyway, my very best SQ guys are:
Bill (pushed as Figurehead)
Carly Colon (jacked up to 88SQ, wrestling in the midcard with his brother)
Punk (jacked up to 92SQ, wrestling in the midcard with BG James)
Cena (currently at 97SQ, in rehab)
Teddy Hart (jacked up to 91SQ, wrestling in the midcard with Nigel McGuinness)

All four of the young guys have a year left on their deals so I'm going to have them just wander around until the start of 2004, then really get behind them.

There's also:
Bob Sapp (90SQ, just entered development)
Giant Singh (100SQ due to an exercise change down to SHW and then putting muscle back on by random event, just called up from development with the skills pictured and a Legendary gimmick - and Major Negative momentum)

Sapp's deal is short, I'll see how he goes with his size change before giving a proper deal. Singh has a year left so he's basically in the same position as my other prospects.

There's also a host of guys with 80+ SQ like Booker, DDP, Flair, Nash, Pump, RVD, Vamp, etc. Hopefully Vince weighs down the E by signing away the older ones.

>Carlito
>Punk
>Cena

You'd have a solid main event with that alone. I had a lot of success with O'Haire, Palumbo and Jindrak in my last WCW Live save, I'm sure you have better plans but if things go really bad, I'd recommend giving one of those three a push.

Sapp and Singh could probably help you out a lot if you can keep them strong and signed up to long term deals.

Damn. I'm thinking of restarting a WCW Lives save I had: what would you suggest me to do? I've got Jeff Jarrett positioned as one of the top heels and is the US champion, I'm thinking of giving some of the Natural Born Thrillers a legit huge push to cover for Nash and DDP (who are both in time decline). What'd be a good main event for Starrcade 2001?
>>
>>3138903
Maybe pad out your tag division? WCW starts with a bunch of great ring workers (Lance, Chavo, Rey, Finlay, etc.) who should be working matches with lots of other guys to train them up.

>Starrcade main event
My Starrcade 2001 was Sting vs. Scott Steiner, rated 96. That's better than this year's Goldberg vs. Kanyon, which rated 90 due to not enough Selling & Psychology. Admittedly, I'm only just getting to 80 popularity in the States so 90 is plenty good enough.

>Jeff Jarrett
I don't know if I'd push him as my top heel because his SQ isn't that good, but he can certainly get great matches with your main event babyfaces.

>DDP & Nash
So long as they're still relevant (not losing entertainment skills), these guys can do "Piper's Pit" style angles for you or otherwise be in entertainment angles along with up-and-comers.

Other than that, it seems like WCW's main problem is finding superstars to fight the eventual National Battles. Guys like the Thrillers aren't really that calibre unless they get a favourable size change.
>>
>>3138981
Yeah, been trying to get some tag teams going. Good call on finding a tag team for Finlay, might do the same for Norman Smiley. What about Cash for Finlay and Johnny the Bull for Smiley?

Steiner's still my top heel as he's in a big feud with Sting, but I'm definitely going to give a renewed push to Flair since he can still go. Jarrett's the #2 heel with his own stable, and his role will be to help build up the US title again with good matches with the face midcarders as well as wrestle Sting and Booker.

O'Haire and Palumbo seem to have a good roll, but I'm more worried about how Jindrak and Stasiak will turn out. I'll see how O'Haire turns out, but my main goal is to get Cena ready and buy enough time to get Goldberg back.
>>
>>3139012
I don't think that Cash or Johnny have a future to be honest, but you could try those combinations and see if they have chemistry. Another combination worth thinking about is ditching Paris and making the Filthy Animals a Trio with Styles - he has the potential and Rey is the perfect tutor.

For me, O'Haire and Palumbo refused to change size and Chuck has gone to WWE to get humiliated on National TV or whatever. O'Haire's still with me wandering around the Upper Midcard. Jindrak got fat so he has nothing ahead of him but getting fed to Scott Steiner for laughs. Stasiak, though? He had a successful size change down to Middleweight, then gained muscle. His SQ is 87 now. No guarantee you'll get the same results, but I'd expect two meh, one boo, and one yay result from the four of them. (Oh, and Mike Sanders turned out to have tag chemistry with Nash, so he's had a decent run of late.)

>Filthy Animals with Styles
Based. I decided to keep Johnny with Vito and pair up Smiley with Lash Leroux, Lash got a pretty decent roll in my game (he's listed as a Hot Prospect) so he might learn a lot from Smiley.

Jindrak, O'Haire and Palumbo refused to change size but Stasiak agreed to downsize for me, hope it turns out well. Would it be worth pulling the trigger on any of them getting a run with the US title in 2001?

Also, does putting the guy on break increase chances of a successful weight gain/loss? I'm thinking of giving Stasiak a month or two off.

Also, Chris Kanyon world title push, would it be worth doing?
>>

>Also, does putting the guy on break increase chances of a successful weight gain/loss? I'm thinking of giving Stasiak a month or two off.
I'm not sure. I know that steroids help so if you're going to do mass size changes you might want to get in a dirty doctor. Where possible, I usually send my size change guys down to development because they take a penalty on their matches while in transition.

That said, when going down in size, your worst case is that he diets and gains Sex Appeal (only). This is why "lose weight you filthy land-whale" is always the right thing to tell your female talent.

Going up can either result in gaining muscle mass (+SQ, Menace, Power, and Stamina) or fat (-SQ, Sex Appeal, and Menace). For guys who are good in the ring, being a fat piece of shit isn't a major problem, so don't flip out if the changes go wrong.

>Also, Chris Kanyon world title push, would it be worth doing?
Who better than Kanyon?

(Discarding sentiment for a moment.. at Cult you can do it. Kanyon's a gifted in-ring performer and by this stage he's a capable entertainer, so he shouldn't disappoint you in segments. I wouldn't look at him as "The Guy", though.)
>>
>>3139094
One more thing on size changes. Old guys seem to have trouble gaining muscle, so I wouldn't ask the veterans of the Monday Night Wars to get jacked. As noted, the "bad" result for losing weight isn't a problem, so you can safely tell them to get smaller.
>>
>>3139094
Sounds good. With Kanyon I was thinking of having him beat Sting for the title. My plan is to give Sting one last big run, have him beat Booker for the title, hot potato it with Steiner before losing it to Kanyon. If Stasiak's weight loss goes really well, he'll definitely get a big push in 2002.
>>
>>3139108
Depending on your sensibilities, you might also benefit from creating a women's division. There are a lot of sexy girls who can put a match together entering the business around 2001. You can rely on them to good undercard matches without a high salary - I usually have the women wrestle right after the cruiserweights, so the crowd is buzzing but ready for a Wild Brawl. They can also fit into angles with the rest of the roster even if they're not managers (and several of them are), using their Sex Appeal to anchor an otherwise shaky segment. Vince has most of the experienced women who'll work in the US, but you could always put your girls to work at Wildside until they're ready for Nitro.

It's something to look at later on, maybe around 2002.
