I came into wrestling just to catch the tail end of all that shit. Never understood why she was hailed that way besides her Black Widow being pretty cool. Natalya was better, and Naomi already stood out as being above the divas era too. AJ seemed like a diva who looked really cute skipping to the ring and had a look just barely PG enough to sell to kids with stuff like that Scooby Doo movie. Nikki has grown to be better than AJ was at retirement. I'll admit again I missed most of AJ's career.
Remember when Usos were feuding with Tyson Kidd and Cesaro? Those matches were fantastic and I loved how Naomi and Natalya would beat the shit out of each other outside the ring. Nothing as extreme as some of the women's spots we see these days but it was far cooler than any of the actual women's matches at the time were.

You are aware of how shitty the pay is for the wrestlers overall in the wwe aren't you anon? The lower guys are usually in the ballpark of 60-80 thousand a year tops as base pay. If you look it up, even Cena's pay isn't all that great, considering how much of a "star" he's treated as for such a "big" company. Merch sales are where the real money's at. There's a good reason why Cena has about 500 merch items on sale with constant new designs every couple of months.

NOTE: That's not to say the % cut the wrestlers receive for each item sold isn't total bullshit by the wwe, but let's not act like those items are fairly priced in the first place.
