They actually have weeks to train for those matches, the main roster doesn't.

Still, the main roster is just badly booked and most PPVs are far too long.

Practicing the match at house shows isn't a perfect equivalent to being able to rehearse it at the Performance Center, but it's still a rough equivalent.

Like, it's not entirely fair to compare Takeovers to main roster PPVs because of the different schedules and levels of travel but that's not exactly an excuse because it just kinda says, hey, maybe these guys shouldn't be on the road as much as they are.

Honestly the NXT weekly show has been garbage for over a year now and they only have Takeovers every 4 months or so, so while they always deliver they're too sparse for me to really value NXT over other brands.

They keep having to show off new guys and not actually have long rivalry storylines so Takeover is the only time they could give a solid show. Hopefully the upcoming draft/shakeup can improve the roster.
