Is he over? Why does vince keep pushing him if he's not...
>>
He gets the biggest reaction every Monday night. He's over.
>>
>>3026743
No. He's literally Lex Luger 2.0
>>
Most over man in all of wrestling
>>
>>3026743
Best heel in the business!
>>
1.1 million people changed the channel because of him.

He's over .... for the other shows.
>>
He has a ton of heat, but he isn't over. Being over implies that the audience is responding in the way they are supposed to because they buy into the character. Roman has heat because he is a controversial figure, but he's not over. He's supposed to be on cereal boxes and the number one baby name in the country is supposed to be Roman. He's not over.
And the idea that WWE did it on purpose as a type of meta-booking? Backtracking revisionist history that WWE tried to push for maybe a month earlier this year but have since totally abandoned because of fucking course they never wanted Roman to be booed.
>>
He should be the top heel in the world right now but they just won't book him as a pure heel for whatever reason
>>
>>3030375
Because then he would get cheered you stupid mark
>>
>>3030386
That would have been true if he turned heel against AJ or somewhere around that time. Nowadays people will respond negatively to anything that even suggests Roman will get booked in the main event.
>>
No he isn't, If he would have been booked as a heel back when he fought D-Bry and Leanne he would have been over as a face by 2017. Vince monumentally screwed up with Roman.
>>
People hate him, but not in a way they hate a good heel. Instead of wanting to see his face get pounded in, fans would be happier if he just left.
>>
>>3026743
Not yet, that's why Vince is doing Roman vs Taker "Twice in the Lifetime"™
>>
>>3030353
It's at least 1.5 million now, probably closer to 2

>>3030386
yeah look at how cheered Sheamus has been since he turned a few years back
>>
>>3030375
They need a good guy on top. WWE is all about the kids, and the toys, and make a wish.

I'm not knocking all that by the way, I'm just pointing out that conventional wrestling thinking says that a face can only do these things. So Vince will always be more inclined to have a face on top in the modern era.
>>
>>3030448

Too bad they don't know how to book a fucking face.

Shit their best face right now is goddamn Strowman, and they've been treating him like a monster heel but the crowd cheers him all the time.
>>
>>3026743
He is over with everyone

He is not over with smarks
>>
>>3030402
People loved it when Strowman was tearing Roman apart backstage.

But yeah, that's still not what a heel should be. People just wanted to see him be a punching bag, not see him be a heel.
>>
>>3030509
not even remotely true
>>
>>3030516
>People loved
Smarks barely qualify as subhumans, much as less as actual human beings.
>>
>>3030484
Strowman gets contrarian cheers the same way Roman gets contrarian boos

The only reason he gets cheered and notoriety is because he's feuding Roman

Roman made him look like a million bucks
>>
>>3026743
He headlined 3 Wrestlemanias in a row, of course he's over
>>
>>3030509
Smarks are most of the audience. Hell, pretty much everyone is a smark these days, just with different opinions.
>>
>>3030525
Post this again. Maybe it'll be true this time.
>>
>>3026743
he has muscles, all you need to do to get a push in wwe is be big, just look at Jinder.
>>
>>3030321
Lex Luger was over prior to WWE, after WWE and during the Lex Express...so what's your point? he only floundered when they didn't put strap on him at SummerSlam 93 and even then he was over (watch his reaction at Survivor Series 1993)
