>hey Dave, why did Naito/Omega get *****3/4 and not ****** ?
>>3017480
Okada and Kenny give Meltz boypussi and Naito doesn't
>>3017480
The "botches" worked him and he was busy fearing for their lives

Pay rates
Ok I know complaining about star ratings is retarded but he might as well change to a 1-6 scale at this point.
>>3017480
It wasn't as good?
I get why he gave the Okada/Omega matches 6+, they were some literally transcendent trilogy, each stacked on-top of some arching story, so I get that.
Still dumb to give a match 5.75 though imo. If it's not 6, it should be 5. 5.75 devalues the concept of 6 and 5 at the same time.
Still, though, just his personal thoughts on a match, I'm not really bothered by them.
>>3017480
you know it was uuh you know umm i dont know y'know
>>3017607
He more or less has, I guess. Anything above 5 is "this is beyond incredible and would be MotY basically any year."
>>3017609
I can sorta get it. He doesn't think it's quite at the level of the trilogy because it doesn't have the story of all three of those matches together, but he still thinks it deserves acknowledgment as a match that's so good and would easily be MotY in basically any other year if it didn't have to contend with this next-level series of matches Omega and Okada did.
I can see why he didn't go 5. But I think just saying 5+ would've been fine.
Was this years Omega/Naito better than last years?
>>3017607
He did.
>>3017609
He is starting this 6 stars is top now thing. People will complain for a while. After 2 years they will get used to it.
>>3017654
Definitely. The pacing was incredible and it built into them taking gradually bigger shots until they were both fucked and throwing haymakers.
Only sore thumb I think was the pedigree on the table being too early.

Sounds great, haven't been able to watch the finals yet, need to get around to it.
