There are no characters anyone really cares about. The angles and feuds are all shit. The belts are a joke. The champs are publicity stunts. They keep saying THE MOST TALENTED ROSTER IN WWE HISTORY but it's actually one of the worst in living memory as far as entertainment goes.
Honestly I think this is just one of those transitioning periods, like 03-04 when a lot of big names from the AE were leaving and the RA era hadn't established itself yet, or 94-95 when the gimmicks were dying and Vince had Diesel as champ and didn't know where to go next. I think WWE will right the ship, but it may be another year or two before we see anything worth investing in.

That period wasn't as bad, because the Smackdown 6 were hot and SD was actually beating Raw in ratings every week, so they were carried through pretty much on the backs of Angle and the rest, but PPV buys were down, costs were cut, and creative was stagnant as fuck, especially after Heyman was taken off SD. It wasn't until Cena, Orton, and Batista broke out and Edge became a true main eventer that WWE started flourishing again.
So far if this is a transition period, it's worse than that one. We haven't reached 1995 levels of bad yet, but things aren't going well at the moment for sure. WWE needs a kick in the ass, something new, big and exciting. I have no idea what that could short of cutting restrictions and letting the talent get themselves over creatively.

Yeah because the guy just announced to be challenging for the title two weeks ago was supposed to sell the entire card for this HOUSE SHOW which has a 99.9999999999 chance of not having a title match where the WWE title could change hands, and most of the promotion was done prior to him being number one contender.

Shinsuke himself was supposed to makefans forgive the WWE for years of shitty product, and sit through more than two hours of shitty filler matches infested with neckbeards chanting utter stupidities and boo'ing any wrestler the regular people actually liked, and do this every time the WWE comes to town which is like twenty times a year now with their oversaturated tours.

Depends on the day and the performer. Management takes the reigns off them so they do a lot more experimenting during matches, it's usually more intimate and that's always nice.

You'll also get the guys who are tired, and beat up, and just wanna go home. They'll phone it in and it's noticeable. But house shows are usually much funner then a TV taping or ppv.
