>Go back to 12 PPVs per month
>Keep branded PPVs
>On months with no PPVs, have a Takeover style special on Raw/Smackdown (so on any given year you would have "Smackdown Showdown" 01-04)
>Specials would have PPV level matches with championships. Little to no promos. No commercials during matches. Treated like a real sporting event with better production values.
>Would be great for TV deals (Advertisers don't like buying ad time during Raw because metrics show fans aren't that invested in watching.. but if it's during a big match you can crank that up a lot). Great for winning over casuals. No specials for the big 4 months... basically 1 special per quarter. If you want real fans, show them the real product.not 3 hours of shitposting. You give a bit away, but there are large gaps between seeing your guys in big matches so it entice new fans to try the network.

>Ticket sales for Ring of Honor's upcoming "Global Wars" have soared after it was announced Kenny Omega would be on the card (via SE Scoops).

>"The Cleaner" - who recently won yet more fans after two match of the year (or, perhaps more accurately, century) candidates with Kazuchika Okada in NJPW - is currently the only man announced for the event, which takes place on October 15th at Chicago's Odeum Expo Center.

>The venue holds up to 5,500 fans, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that quota is fast being filled ahead of what could be one of precious few ROH dates for Omega over the next couple of years.

>The Canadian last appeared for the promotion in 2016, but has spent most of his time since in Japan, and continues to be linked with a switch to WWE after reportedly impressing its hierarchy earlier this year.

>And these numbers - said to be the highest first-day ticket sales in ROH history - are yet more evidence of his drawing power, which is unrivaled by any other wrestler currently working the American wrestling scene.

Or you know... Sign a wrestler people actually WANT to see perform, in person OR online.

also fire the manlets, chinks and divas
>>
In theory, I actually like that idea but the reality is that there are no special matches in WWE anymore that will get people to give a shit. They give away what should be huge matches on TV constantly, such as Cena vs Nakamura for the first time ever, to the point that nothing on PPV is remotely special unless it's a bullshit gimmick match. If they were going to do that, they'd have to cut down on blowing their load on TV big time and save those matches for the specials.

12 PPVs per month sounds a bit excessive.

>special has huge ratings for great wrestlers
>shit ratings for shit wrestlers
>great wrestlers get pushed
>shit guys get binned

the system works
>>
>>2984171
You can mix it up. Some BS and some good. It's what they do now anyway. Some BS might ring in casuals anyway.. and they'll stay tuned and see a 4 star AJ match and be hooked.
>>
>>2984164
12 PPVS A MONTH GOT DAMN NIGGA
>>
>>2984164
#HireRusso and end brand split.
>>
Merge ALL talent into one 2-hour weekly show and have Paul Heyman book it.

That's the only way to fix it.
>>
>>2984227
The brand split is great, nigga. There's too many people that get lost in the shuffle when the entire roster is on one show, the only problem is that both tag and women's division is shallow as fuck when split in half, and they should be exclusive to one brand.
>>
From a business standpoint, WWE needs more reasons to drive people towards the WWE Network. Just last month they cut a few shows.

I mean I get that they're covering their asses by reducing production budgets, but at the end of the day the hardcore fanbase that were going to buy the network for the back catalogue have likely come and gone, at the moment you've got Raw/SDL (available on cable), PPVs twice a month (of usually a low quality), 205Live (where most of the good matches end up on Raw or PPV), and a host of talk shows and interviews. None of this sounds like it's worth $9.99 a month.
>>
>>2984232
smackdown gets tag and cruisers (and tape 205 first)
raw gets women and trios
>>
Fire CFO and get rid of all the LED lights and gaudy staging. Fire all the commentators. They are shit. Stop scripting promos. Allow talent to get over which would encourage competition.
>>
>>2984239
Perfect. That way I can just ignore Raw exists and double down on Smack.

Even if I don't get why so many people want trios in the WWE, it's just a graveyard for a mishmash of midcarders they have absolutely nothing for.
>>
>>2984232
>There's too many people that get lost in the shuffle when the entire roster is on one show
Then they aren't very good and they won't be missed. No one cares about 90% of these people anyway. They aren't over. You can't get over 50-people at a time. Two hours is fine. You don't need 30 programs going at a time.
>>
>>2984243
>mishmash of midcarders they have absolutely nothing for.

WWE could actually do something with this. They've got endless good talent and nothing to do with them. At least with Trios you'll have a few standouts.
>>
>>2984246
That's fucking dumb and you know, getting airtime and pushes in current WWE has absolutely nothing to do with the individuals ability to get over.
>>
>>2984249
>endless good talent
Where?
>>
>>2984250
>getting airtime and pushes in current WWE has absolutely nothing to do with the individuals ability to get over.
Of course not because they present a million different people a week, none of it meaning anything, and they have to fill so much airtime that it ends up diluting every segment.
>>
>>2984164
Fire all "women wrestler"
Fire all manlets on 205 Live
Fire all manlets on main roster
Fire 50% of the roster
>>
>>2984164

>Go back to 12 PPVs per month
>PER MONTH

Sounds like something WWE would do.
