UFC is the biggest combat sport in the US today. Strong style comes from MMA. Strong style would have great appeal here.
>manlet geeks they can't live vicariously through
This is it really, bad booking and muh workrate don't help but casuals want to see badasses that they themselves want to be like. People were entertained by Stone Cold because he was a redneck that beat the crap out of his boss, something they couldn't realistically do.
This Jason Jordan storyline.

>muh flippyshit artform or totally epic young cucks meta fighting
That also doesn't draw.
>Strong style would have great appeal here
No, it wouldn't - it works in UFC because UFC is REAL and wrestling isn't and people know it isn't.

I turned it off last night as soon as bayley came on.
In fact, the first time I turned on wrestling in years I saw bayley throwing a pitty party and thought wtf

women "wrestling" in slow motion
It's not short people or 'le Indy manlets xD' It's the terrible fucking dialogue and bad storylines that makes anyone embarrassed to be seen watching it. I tried getting a friend back into WWE and he just couldn't make it through 20 minutes of cringe fake dialogue and nonsensical plots over a three hour show.
