Calling it mow, Omega and SANDA go to 30 minute draw. SANADA has had a slow burn this G1, with commentary dropping hints on how he is at the cusp of something great but hasn't quite made it there. Coupled with the hot opener he had with EVIL earlier and especially with the latter's success, I can see SANADA going the time limit against someone EVIL hasn't beaten yet. Which means SANADA will recoup with wins against Kojima and Okada eventually and fulfill his potential.

Omega's match with Suzuki was very much just an Omega match, just with some great character work and a bit more stiffness than your usual Omega match.

Okada's match with Suzuki was like, Okada is working to Suzuki's strengths and creating something new based on his opponents strengths. They beat the absolute shit out of each other.

The thing is, you have to present the idea that anything is possible. It might only come down to two guys by the last day of block action. It's way different from BOSJ B-block where you had the entire group at 8 points on the last day. Someone might just sweep the field and clinch their spot in the finals so that the last day has no meaning on who makes it. Either way, they've tried some new things with the booking this year. That tie I was not expecting at all.

And now we know what the story is for Okada/Omega. Both of their matches have gone over 45 minutes. Okada doesn't need to win to advance to the final, he just needs a draw because he'll still be ahead by one point. Omega has to win and the clock is against him. He's failed both times when he had an hour to do it, how's he supposed to get it done in half that? Intriguing stuff.

Plus, they've all dropped points themselves at fairly important times to put people over (Okada set himself up for a future defense against EVIL, Omega against Elgin/Juice, Tana against Ibushi/ZSJ). All the champs are prominent, kept strong – whilst finding some room to give new guys some shine – and we're leading into them clashing with some great built-in stories.
If you complain about this, you are officially a bitch nigga. And if you complain about this whilst expecting Ibushi/Omega finals, are are a stupid bitch nigga for expecting a freelancer to get that spot.
Plus lets not forget to mention the match quality has been insane and the final block days will deliver more of the same, and set up the finals as a guaranteed showdown between two god-tier talents.
