I really liked Tajiri and Regal's run together

It was weird seeing regal being a comedic jobber for years and then he came back in like 08 or whatever and became a badass who won king of the ring. It felt weird and i thought it was kinda stupid
What year/months was this? I remember liking it when I saw it when it happened, and I have a couple hours I can kill watching old wrestling footage on the network tonight.

I remember reading on some rumor sites that is KOR win was to build up to a main event push, maybe even a title win if it went over well, sort of as a "gold watch" run, but he got popped on a wellness violation. Which, if true, is disappointing. Would have loved to see that.

He debuted as Regal's weird foreign assistant guy in late May 2001 when Regal was commissioner so you could start there.
Their tag team stuff was mostly 2005, I think

Whoa I didn't know Asuka was in WWE before

Not a rumor. Dude had problems with drugs even during wcw days. One of the reasons he's always humble about the business is because of people there giving him another chance whenever he fell off the wagon.

And she teamed up with Tajiri. Crazy.
Better comedic/great tag team?
