Now there are many, many reasons to despise the WWE, the atrocious writers and storylines, the micromanaging, the waste of talents but let's talk about one of the underappreciated reasons: branding. WWE is a company obsessed with branding, overvaluing specific words on the unstable whims of a 70 year old, out-of-touch, senile old fuck. Now, all of this could be forgiven if what they were pushing sounded badass or cool but they come off extremely corny and cringeworthy. "The artist known as Shinsuke Nakamura". "Wrestlemania: The Ultimate Thrillride". "Great Balls of Fire". The removal of first and last names, such as "Cesaro", "Neville" and "Elias". Banning words outright such as "Belt", "Opponent", "Pro Wrestler" and even "Interesting".
So what're your favorite (or not-so-favorite) examples of WWE's micromanaging over words and branding?

The sad part is, it actually works on 2/3rds of their audience because of how mind numbingly stupid they are. Then you got jerks playing along ironically, feeding into the autists more who don't even understand it's ironic.
