Might as well ask this again...

So I have been playing for a few years with friends at legit (and not) fields, and I finally decided to get myself my own "starting" gun. I did quite a bit of research and have rounded down to 2 guns that I can't make up my mind on choosing.

G&G CM16 Raider. (although the fps seem different for every seller)
http://www.evike.com/products/65577/

G&P M4 Carbine
http://www.evike.com/products/67651/

I am looking for something that will last me for a very long time (quality over quantity), and to customize (add-ons, painting, ect). 50/50 out door and indoor fields. My play style is cautious but offensive and I have fairly decent aim.

Anyone got good advice on these brands or on either of these guns? Really stuck on which to choose...
>>
>>2928569
G&P has better externals, definitely a good platform if you decide to upgrade.
>>
>>2928569
>CM16
>M4

made me reee a little internally, but I guess they're fine for newbies. don't do what i did and start on a CYMA with a V7. Really can't go wrong with G&G, but what >>2928571 said is absolutely correct.
>>
>>2928569
What this >>2928571 guy said, if you like ar15 models and plan on keeping one go G&P for future upgrades.

If you're just testing the waters go with the wombat machine which is cheaper then if you really want to you can convert to some other gun later like an AK or a G36

Here's the real one
>>
>>2928428
As someone who's tried a couple of them.
I would strongly advise you to check the GL beforehand, because it's actually possible to fuck up something as simple as an airsoft Grenade Launcher.
Don't buy BOYI, the firing pin is too short to engage most nades. If you care about realism I'd go for something opening from the side like the Madbull AGX, if you don't, I'd go for something lightweight like the Mosquito or pic related. Pistol Grenade Launchers are pretty amazing too, like the S-Thunder one. You can get a Ris-to-Ris clamp for them, and if you decide it's dead weight, you can tuck it away as a last resort in a double M4 pouch. It sort of looks like a flare gun, too.
>>
>>2928902
>>2928361
>monolith
>shit
>>
>>2928428
I'd suggest getting a standalone. M4 nade launchers can make your primary weight much more and that will decrease your want to carry it and tactical maneuvering.
The coolness and swapping to launcher is super cool and quick, but it's not worth it.

Wouldn't an m249 do the same thing while being easier to move around, and holding more rounds?
>>
>>2930671
It's about performance, and the M240B (atleast mine) greatly outperforms m249's range-wise.

This range is what allows me to be an absolute pain in the ass of sniper players (which there are waaay too many of)
>>
>>2930905
OK please explain to a noob how it matters even remotely what body gun you use.

Can't a fusion engine with a souped up mag outgun both of those? Don't guts matter above all else?
>>
>>2930154
Snipers aren't these invisible specops dudes that can hit you from 500 meters out, they're 13 year old kids with a shitty ghillie and a WELL L96 that get out-ranged by AEGs.
Hell, in Milsim West snipers are used as recon assets instead of l33t ghost units.
>>
>>2930154
>>2930957
There is very little that is funnier than spraying all over the face of a sniper who's gun won't reach you.
>>
>>2930942
It doesn't but overall I find the M240B to be more awesome than the M249 anyway
>>
>>2930957
>they're 13 year old kids with a shitty ghillie and a WELL L96 that get out-ranged by AEGs
That's a pretty standard-yet-completely-wrong generalization.
I have a BASR (VSR 10) that I rarely use because the role is boring as dicks so I didn't invest much in it but with an AA chamber and a flathop (Not counting mancraft as it isn't relevant because I'm shooting as hot as the fields allow me to) I already outrange all AEGs. That said, I use a DRM as well and it's WAY better just because the difference is not that significant and I can semi.
>>
>>2930656

seems like quite a lot of effort to keep a toy gun from moving
>>
>>2931139
And after writing all this I thought that perhaps the field you play at have a small difference in fps between support weapons and basr thus making the post moot

So, if I want an AR15 that operates the same as the real one, don't want to spend shitload of cash for mags I will want to be careful with, and would prefer it to have no electronics, am I limited to Daytona Gun? Is it possible to make a Daytona Gun DMR?
>>
>>2933508
No, in fact the recoil of the Daytona is not realistic at all the recoil goes forward not back. If you want realism for cross training, go with viper tech or GHK, but with the GHK you must spend a lot of money on internal upgrades to get a very similar recoil to a real ar15 with a surefire comp, I believe red wolf does have a package with the internals already pre-upgraded.
>>
>>2933508
>>2933557
Daytona have a sr25 kit for ares, I use to work for black blitz and the biggest issue with it is a very heavy trigger pull, but the tech did fix this issue but it's still very heavy I didn't have the chance to take it out but I don't recommend as a "DMR" platform
>>
>>2929928
Shit man, as far as a copy it has to be at least 8/10 minimum. And cool idea, it's out of the box.

I do have one question though, what's with the mixed handguard of wood and plastic?
>>
>>2933508
Well if all else fails, you could get a G&D or A&K PTW clone.
That being said, you really can't throw your bbgats around like you're a 500lb downy gorilla unless you get something like a Systema or an Inokatsu.

I've had this echo1 SCAR-L for several years but now it's stopped working. Whenever I try to shoot it makes a noise and puff of air but no BB's come out. Also when I try to drop a BB into the barrel it gets stuck before entering the chamber. When I took it apart and manually loaded a BB into the chamber it shot fine. I took it apart and I think there is a tiny crack in the hop up. So what should I do, do I need to buy a new hop up?

Here is a pic of the hop up with a BB in it.

>>
>>2934694
I'm sure it did come with the gun, but I just think it's funny how manufacturers think something like that is acceptable. Even fucking CYMA uses metal hop ups.

>>
>>2935514
Mines the old as balls JP one. Let's just say there's a reason it cost me £20
>>
>>2934412
Ptw was cool, but the thing about them you could build a better gun for a lot less.

The metal of the receiver is cheap and it will break, the pion gear is known to break, the motor it self will break. My friends who have them, consider the motor as a consumable. You can't shim the Pinon to bevel gear, so it have a very high pitch whine also it have a weird gear ratio, it's not right it should be smaller for what it is.

The ptw is the apple phone of aeg, great for tech illiterates but you could just pay a tech to build you a better gun.
>>
So if I buy a Tokyo Marui VSR-10 it can practically be upgraded to the limit as far as bolt action goes provided I spend enough dosh, correct?

I want to restrict myself to one (1) platform so I don't sperg out collecting softguns
>>
Also as to why I want a bolt action is because it makes more sense for range practice, and I simply cannot stand the whirring noise of AEGs. Immersion breaking desu

I have to Cyclones and they work fine. Never had a problems with them yet unlike everyone else around me apparently.
That said I'm considering the possibility of getting those new grenades AI made that are aluminum and are not a fucking hassle to prepare for use but the whole 'plastic thing that could or could not get lost when the grenade pops' sounds like shit.
I'll wait until some fag buys it and tell him to use different materials and see how it works.

I also see people using a grenade called Kimera which seems like a solid option considering it requires you just to close the two half parts that make the grenade, gas it and it's ready to be used.

Think about it. Open hopup in a wide pipe. Diving tank on the back. Bernoulli law forces BBS to be sucked into a stream of air. Hailstorm of ownage in cqb, specialized for juggernaut. Attach a ribbon like tp to show where flames go.

Some pistols have a loose barrel by design. In fact that is what makes Glocks and M&P9s not cycle at all when using most suppressors without a specific adapter or certain modifications as the barrel moves backwards when shooting contrary to everyone belief that this issue is caused by the tilting barrel.
That said, the M9 models shouldn't have a loose barrel afaik but I don't know if that specific models has to due to the long barrel or whatever.
>>

No it doesn't, it's just a plain V3 gearbox in an AK with a longer barrel. M249 has significantly more issues than any RPK does, especially with the box mags not feeding, the hop up being completely retarded and needing a $60 Bullgear replacement to be normal, and microswitches dying.

>Being this incredibly wrong
An RPK in airsoft is merely an AK internally with a type 3 gearbox, which alongside a type 2 gearbox has the best internals for upgrading since its a very common gearbox. You can even get an RPK of fantastic external quality that would be better than every other aluminum or potmetal body SAW out there since LCT makes one. The drum mags for them also work well and you can get midcap RPK mags as well if you don't want to bother with the issues that come with drum mags.

M4s don't have the same hop unit as an M249 and the buckings aren't as easily damaged since the nub isn't vertical. The fact that the nub is vertical also means that even with the pen mod it's still very inconsistent and hop since it doesn't have the same surface area as a regular nub or an M nub.

It's part of the basic training. At first a doctor holds a lecture about first aid on the field and after that medics holding training sessions for different situations. It's not rocket science and it's mostly for impressions.

Stop sperging out about a non-issue like a soccermom.

That's super fucking cool, I've wanted to do an East German border guard kit for a long time but I've always done something else or gone another way. Really neat to see.

It's a great allseason kit, and the equipment ain't too expensive if you know where to buy from.

Also the service cap makes you look slick as fuck
>>
>go through all the work to replace hop-up
>realize halfway through that you may have just bought the exact same hop-up your gun came with and have spent all these hours toiling for no reason

also the screws that came with my hop-up are too small so i have to keep the adjustment slider in place with a fucking twistie-tie

Can there be any difference between two Cyma AKs of the same model regarding quality? I ask because I find really weird to see such price ranges on different stores and I dont wanna buy a lemon
>>
>>2961626
If they're the same model, not really. Some poor QC on cyma's part maybe, but that could affect either one.

looking for starter gun for my cqb field, what should it be lads?

TM Hicapa 5.1
JG Scorpion
G&G Combat Machine
or CYMA P90
>>
>>2962179
HI-Capas are great, but the P90 would be a good alternative since it'd be really compact when compared to the Combat Machine, and would be built better than the Scorpion.

biodegradables take time to break down. I doubt a human digestive system could dissolve them fully in a 12-18 hour period

it won't, but I'm not exactly sure if it'd go through in one piece
either way nothing will happen

Anyone here owns or has ever used a Mancraft PDiK?
I need to know if the trigger pull is retardedly long or not.
>>
>>2961626
Depends on if you mean the Cyma model or the AK model. A CM040 is a CM040, but an AK-74 could be a range of different models, like CM040 or CM031, etc. which do have differences in quality.

I meant the Cyma model. I heard good things about the CM048M and a friend of mine who recently got a 48SU said it was solid for the price but I've found the 48M from 155$ up to 220€. That made me think there could be differences between two of the same model.

cyma 74u. the biggest trouble i had was getting the hop up put together since it was shipped totally disassembled, and the disassembly videos online are either bedroom floor tier or shitty camera angle tier. not to mention before all that it took me quite a while to figure out how to get the outer barrel off my gun before i found out theres a tiny hex screw keeping it secure. also i had to literally boil the flash hider off the gun before realize it wasn't even necessary.

I'm not that retard baiting for (You)s though.
One of the fields I go to is owned by a rich guy in his mid 40s and he plays there religiously every week but you'll never see him 'refing' or making any sells in the shop. In fact you'll never see him bossing around players nor the guys working there and the only 'owner' thing he does is not pay the entrance fee and sometimes grab pellets or a drink from the shop.
For all intents and purposes he's just another player. The only reason some of us know he's the owner is because one day talking about things that could improve the field he said "I'll see what I can do" and a few weeks later some of our ideas were implemented and we asked him if he knew the owner and he told us otherwise we would still play with/against him having no idea who he was.

Am I the only one having problems to stick to a single gripping point? Sometimes I unconsciously grip one way or another and it's making me seriously consider using both a vertical and an angled grip at the same time because gripping the front of the handguard without angled grip is uncomfortable as shit to me and so is magwell gripping.
This is one of those situations where I want to do something for my benefit but it might brand me as the crapticool retard and is killing me.
>>
>>2965340
Just use what suits you man. I'm right handed, but I'm left eyed so I shoot handguns left handed but rifles right handed.

m8, I own a dboys 74u, there's no way it takes an hour to strip anything on these guns.
>>
>>2965953
If you have no idea what you are doing airsoft guns are far more complex than real guns and aren't intended for drunken Pyotyr or Tommy McAmerican to disassemble blindfolded.
