>Went from being the two best wrestlers in the world to average midcard geeks

What is it about WWE that makes workers regress?
>>
>>2917355
Nakamura was always overrated aj is still the man he just got bumped off the mainevent because big time jinder is getting a push
>>
>>2917355
I think most wrestlers become lazy after coming to wwe since there's no more milestone for them to accomplish and ofcourse having to travel all year and doing fan and media meetups.
>>
>>2917365
>lazy

It's WWE restricting the way they work matches and how many/what moves they use.
>>
Nakamura clearly came over to phone it in at the midcard and get paid.

AJ is usually still great, but the KO match last night never got going.
>>
>>2917355
it's not that they regress, it's just that much harder to be on the road and wrestle every week, instead of wrestling once a month, while training and dieting properly the rest of the time. Anyone can putting on 5 star matches with such a lax schedule.
>>
>>2917376
>le schedule

The G1 Climax is getting 5 star matches every night
>>
>>2917387
>G1 Climax

That's one event that they've easily prepped for during the months where they only wrestle once a month. Besides being on the road in Japan is a cakewalk, we have states bigger than Japan.
>>
>>2917402
But they don't wrestle once a month. You don't hear about them, but they have house shows all the time. Only about 25 of them were singles, but Nakamura wrestled 147 matches in 2015.
>>
>>2917402
that's usually the case but the new japan guys have been tearing it up this year, especially omega and ishii at those long beach shows. okada's beat up, tana's arm is fucked, etc.

ibushi is fresh which is why he's killing it.

So let's take a look at Okada's schedule in 2016.

Hmm, 155 matches a year.

Let's take a look at the workhorse Dean Ambrose 2016.

202

Let's take a look at AJ Styles and his 2016
https://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=801&page=4&search=2016&s=100
177 in WWE, 11 more elsewhere.

Suprise, suprise. NJPW does house shows. I know you didn't know that. But don't say they work only a day a month. There are quite a lot of untelevised events.
>>
>>2917402
>only wrestling once a month (this is wrong) somehow means you'll be better off when you wrestle every night for almost 3 weeks

>size of country dictates how many shows are run

Amerifat not being able to into geography OR mathematics OR phys. ed
>>
>>2917355
Nakameme was always shit.
>>
>>2917387
Only one so far. Half of the people in it are trash though and it's a real problem but when top tier guys face off then it's on.
>>
>>2917428

Do a little research on what frequent air travel does to your body and immune system, this is what's killing wrestlers. How are you supposed to train at the level of an athlete when you haven't even recovered from the 10 hour flight you took last week?
Fine, it's not once a month, but its still less than WWE, with far, far, less travel involved.
>>
>>2917464
I am not saying that they are not having it easier most of the year.
But the poster said they wrestle once a month, which is factually false.

And to be honest. I think matches for NJPW guys are more physically demanding, being they are usually longer when it's for a title or other singles match.

But air travel sucks big time for WWE wrestlers, not disputing that.

My guess is they don't frequently travel to the rural islands to the north and south, anywhere else is a train trip away.
>>
>>2917402
>we have states bigger than Japan
what state this be
>>
>>2917482
the toll is probably about equal. travel is less difficult for new japan guys but they're expected to put on 1 big time PPV match every month at least, especially the main event level guys. travel sucks ass for wwe guys but they work softer. ironically so many wwe guys have been injured and forced to be MIA because of injuries, even though they work softer. this is because they do in fact work more than new japan guys.

at the end of the day the more you work the more it breaks you down even if you work relatively soft. this is compounded because again unlike new japan guys, the travel makes it harder for them to train and keep their bodies strong to prevent injury
>>
>>2917514
And WWE usually goes on a circuit it's not like they're flying coast to coast every week. It's usually a few hours drive to the next state.
It's probably harder but not by a wide margin.
>>
>>2917514
First night of G1 was in Hokkaido (north island) in Sapporo, next 3 were in Tokyo.
At least one night will be on southern island.
Big show in february will be in Sapporo again.
Dunno, if Hokkaido gets any house shows in fall.
They usually use their time wisely and they do 3 shows that have like 4-5 hours away via the bus. And then they go back to Tokyo and have show in Korauken, which is their main crowd. The people in Korauken make stars. They made Marty Scrull on his debut night.

All New Japan matches are called in the ring you fucking faggot, they don't prep for them like WWE's team of agents booking endless DQ finishes
>>

mark.

>>2917368
It's both
>>
>>2917428
Not saying WWE wrestlers have it that much harder, but 75% of those "matches" are shitty clusterfucks with Chaos, where Okada spends about 2 minutes in the ring. He's pretty much there to sign autographs and earn his paycheck.
>>
>>2917798
Says the drone trying to defend Battleground. Were you one of the people there who got so bored of the main event that you left early so you could buy tickets to the next show there?

There's a reason he was always second fiddle to Tanahashi.

It is because the WWE controls everything and utterly stifles every bit of creativity the guys have.
