Ratings decline started with CM Punk.
>>

Agreed. Daniel Bryan helped send them down the toilet though. Seth Rollins was the sewage works.
>>
Legit question, why do you care about who drew how much money?

Start of WWE's severe decline
>>
>>2900048
Can you solve the problem of why NJPW sells out venues weeks in advance while WWE has to sell their tickets on discount and film exclusively from one side of an arena?
>>
>>2900108
>Selling out bingo halls is somehow comparable to WWE filling actual arenas
Problem solved, you're a retard.
>>
>>2900108
By and large NJPW rents smaller buildings. WWE rents bigger buildings.

RAW and PPV's usually do sell-out or close to sell-out business.

Stop acting like WWE discounting tickets or papering shows is out the norm. It's been this way forever. Depends on card, market, product popularity, economy and many more reasons.
>>
>Guy had one and a half months as champion before getting injured.
>H-he can't draw.

And you call other people retarded you mental midget? I can't wait until he goes off to RoH or NJPW and cuts into Vince's bottom line. Daniel Bryan's arc was one of the only interesting main event storyline's in the past 5-6 years and yet you feel the need to shit on him.

Bryan is worthless now. I hate the young bucks but WWE can easily hire those two twinks away from indies to replace weak Bryan & corner that smark demographic

Shit ratings probablu because his first fued was with fucking Kane. Kane. In 2014. Fuck

WWE's inability to book a champion is why their ratings are crap. The minute anybody gets hold of a title they are booked into oblivion.

Strange but 10 years before thatm Benoit first feud as World Champ was a midcard feud with... Kane

Kane the go to guy to ruin smark darlings Championship runs

Bryan's loser fans full of excuses. Hottest and most over since Austin they said back then. In reality he was less over than Orton during his 10th reign.

over = drawing

drawing is true measure of being over

that was what Bryan fans disregarded during his run.

crowd pop can only go so far, you have to draw for company to get behind you fully.

TIL Diesel wasn't over in 1995
TIL Orton wasn't over in his entire career

And yet the company is fully behind Roman Reigns even after he's driven away over 1.3 MILLION viewers.
>>
>>2900340
Sid and Diesel drew but the fanbase was smaller.

Bryan was draw with smarks not casuals.

Orton has many numbers which prove he drew e.g. his SummerSlam match with Cena in 07 drew huge.

Blaming Roman Reigns is so (and I can't stress this enough) simple minded.

Daniel Bryan is the highest rated champion among the last 15.

He had the highest rated segments.

He was the second highest merch seller in 2014 and 2015.

12.14.15 RAW Viewership: 1st Hour: 4.043 million, 2nd hour: 3.786 million, 3rd Hour ft. Roman Reigns WWE title win: 3.825 million (gained 39,000 viewers).

02.08.16 RAW viewership: 1st Hour: 3.907 million, 2nd hour: 3.905 million, 3rd Hour ft. Daniel Bryan's retirement: 3.368 million (lost 537,000 viewers).

As former WWE writer Kevin Eck stated on PWTorch Livecast (May 5, 2016); "Daniel Bryan wasn't setting world of fire, when it came to ratings in certain segments, live attendance, same thing with CM Punk, the numbers just weren't there to support that he was over to the level that certain fans thought he was."

His speech was in last hour though and lost half a million viewers. People tuned out because they didn't care. They would have been hyping it throughout show also. You can't credit 1st and 2nd hour to Bryan. He didn't retain audience.
>>
>>2900161

They seriously only got 6k seats in the same arena the Pelicans play in?
>>
For what it's worth, if they didn't try to kill his push with that awful Kane feud he got stuck with after WM30, this wouldn't have happened. Dude's got one of the highest ratings average as champion considering the time period he was champ in, so higher averages are only held by reigns much MUCH older than his. Just the fact that he still gets among the loudest pops per night, and fans went ape shit on TWO Royal Rumbles for the guy should be enough to figure this out.

>>2900417
Pretty sure the next few months after Summerslam proved Vince wrong about Bryan. Wrestlemania 13 was character defining for Stone Cold yet it had shit for PPV buys. Ratings/buys don't go up instantly, they happen after a while of the pushed person being on top, and Bryan never got to be top face for long compared to the amount of time/effort put into Hogan, Austin, Cena, and Reigns.
>>
>>2899992
Drew negative dimes the stock plummeted after he won the tittle
>>
>>2900511
WWE NOC 2013 (Bryan vs. Orton) = 196,000 buys down 11,000 buys from 2012.

Battleground 2013 (Bryan vs. Orton) 119,000 buys. Lowest buys since ECW December to Dismember in Dec 2006.
>>
>>2900527

PPV was dying its not Bryans fault

If we still had regular PPV with no network the buys for todays PPVs would be around 50K
>>
>>2900337

PPV dying
>Royal Rumble 2013 drew 579,000 buys, UP 96,000 buys from 2012
>Elimination Chamber drew 241,000 buys, UP 47,000 buys from 2012
>WrestleMania 2013 drew 1,104,000 buys
>Extreme Rules 2013 drew 245,000 buys, DOWN 26,00 buys from 2012 but still very healthy
>MITB 2013 drew 223,000 buys, UP 17,000 buys from 2012

I disagree PPV was dying. UFC and Floyd/Manny + soon Floyd/Conor prove this wrong.

WWE miscalculated then again maybe not. It's open for debate. WWE would still draw on PPV if they had legit stars people would pay to see. Rumble and EC buyrates were up because of The Rock. It's a star driven industry and WWE doesn't have many left (Cena, Brock, Reigns, HHH).
>>
>>2900580
if people wanted to see the show they would buy it

the network being the future is bs excuse for them knowing nobody wants to pay to watch their show
>>
>>2900124
>>2900128
>>2900449
So where's the explanation on why WWE has to discount their tickets?
If they keep booking venues they know they can't fill they are literally wasting their money.

If I'm going to book a venue it makes sense to book the $500 one over the $1500 if I'm going to have the same amount of people showing up either way, especially if the $1500 one looks empty as fuck.
>>
>Y'know, I think I'm gonna go boot up Wrestlemania 30 so I can go watch what a great draw Daniel Bryan was.
- Nobody.
>>
>>2900653
Outside of Bryan winning it, does anyone even remember the main event of WM30?
>>
>>2900694

I remember that Dave's head looked like his brain was poking through his skin.
>>
>>2900694
Let's see, off the top of my head?
>Scott Armstrong coming out and Bryan kicking him and then diving on Triple H and Steph
>Bryan hitting Triple H with the hammer
>Bryan doing the kicks to both guys both in the corner and the Yes kicks.
>Batista Bomb/RKO where Randy fucking ate a monitor to the back.
>The stretcher spot and Bryan pulling himself off the stretcher
>I think Randy had a cool leapfrog over Batista at one point.

That's about it.
>>
>>2900694
Batista and Randy Orton.

Brock vs. Taker was real main event though.

We could have had super heel Batista but instead we got a weak midget who wrestled one PPV got injured for 2 years, returned for cup of coffee, injured, then retired. Meanwhile the man smarks hated on with as much undeserved venom as they did Reigns went on to bigger and better thing like becoming a legit Hollywood movie star. So in other words losers smarks picked a guy who repelled the masses over a guy who attracts the masses and WWE hasn't been same since because they stupidly listened to these smarks.

You do know Batista was leaving anyway, right.

And the reason Batista hasn't come back, even though he wants to, was that WWE doesn't want him back.

January 1st, 2016 rating is the lowest rating of the year. January 8th, 2016, one of the two lowest ratings of the year. And January 15th? One of the three lowest ratings of the year.

Roman Reigns is a shit champ. Can't draw.
