I recall going to a house show not long after the Kane character debuted. He was in the middle of the ring and did the up and down with his arms, but no fire shot from the ring posts. It got more heat than almost anything else I've ever seen actually. Nowadays the pyro is more over than most of the wrestlers.

If I were to torture all the neckbeards on this thread, I think I'd do the same thing to each of them. I'd get a very, very lengthy towel, GHB, ropes and zipties. I read the reason was because the Elimination Chamber structure was built to be accommodated by older arenas with massive screen supports in the center of the building. Newer arenas use LED screens and don't need the incorporate the same supports and the Elimination Chamber can't be rigged up properly in newer buildings.
