how the fuck did WWE make them work?
>>
>>2865446
the fact they're better workers than 90% of the roster helps
>>
They had nothing to do with them except face each other so putting them together actually worked
>>
>>2865446
They made it work with good chemistry and being booked strong
>>
>>2865446
by being the berrrrrr
>>
I don't know but they make me want to start wearing some punk looking trench coats and gain an alcohol addiction.
>>
>>2865446
They're both good at wrestling and are believable as guys who can and will beat the shit out of you
>>
>>2865481
Cesaro physically looks like the type that has 2 beers per year, if that
>>
Cesaro is a GOAT worker and has tag chemistry with basically anybody

its kinda funny that they can take 2 random guys and put them together as a team and make them work while the real tag teams are dog shit.
>>
Sheamus can work with anyone as good heel. Ceasaro actually seems to be into it once he caught on they weren't just going to use the team to job to the hardys then fade to obscurity.

Overall good shit from the wwe. It cools down the hardys who are still just a nostalgia act like propping these guys up by virtue of a pretty decent program with a good flow of matches.
>>
>>2865500

To really be successful,Cesaro needs a new look. A new persona.
He looks too "nice" and he doesn't shave his head properly. However good he is in the ring, he doesn't say "star" to me.
>>
>>2865446
No charisma ceasaro always works better when he has someone to work with and gains charisma as a team
>>
>>2865536
That's because you buy into the opinions of a senile old fuck who still believes Reigns can work.
>>
Cesaro is one of the best workers in the world, has a huge amount of in-ring charisma and as much as I really want them to push him as a singles guy, his tag team psychology is fucking god tier. Sheamus is an extremely underrated worker and talker and definitely one of the best hosses on the roster. Problem is he just stiffs the fuck out of you sometime.

It's pretty simple, honestly. There's a lot of charisma and talent in the pairing and they had a simple long term story that played off of their strengths well. I dunno if turning them heel was necessary but they've made it work.
>>
>>2865524
It's because with two random guys, they'll usually try to tell a story to get them over.

With the real tag teams they're almost always focused on breaking them up because they think all tag teams exist to be broken up.
>>
I heard that one of the NJPW higher ups wants to poach Cesaro back in 2015-2016
>>
>>2865603
It was Gedo.

A more cynical person might say this was a factor in re-signing Kassius Ohno so the indies couldn't book a reunion tour for the KoW
>>
>>2865446
Cesaro has a superman badge on the jacket. Why the fuck they call him a cyborg instead of a superman? Why would a cyborg even need shoulder tape?
>>
>>2865883
Swiss Superman would sound weird for a heel.
>>
>>2865446
that's what happens when you take 2 of the best in ring wrestlers your roster has and you pair them up with each other. also, they're both VERY underrated (cesaro more so; he's basically MISTER underrated/underutilized as of the last 3-4 years) and neither of them overshadows the other one so they're both largely presented as physical equals, which goes a long way for looking like a 'good' tag team.

i still want to see the 'cesaro main event title picture' run, but this is fine and dandy for now.
>>
>>2865446
Why is an Italian from Switzerland wearing a kilt?
>>
>>2865910
To show his and Sheamus mutual respect/close partnership.

Cesaro wears a kilt like Sheamus and Sheamus wore a suit jacket and sunglasses like Cesaro, but then they switched to the cool jackets.
>>
>>2865446
I like how they actually use teamwork to win matches, not just the usual tag team double moves like Magic Killer or 3D or whatever. They cover each other's asses and do nice distraction/ambush spots. It's based.
>>
>>2865920
It's the thing that got The Revival over, a shame Shesaro won't turn back face to face them before breaking up.
>>
>>2865464
>sheamus
>good worker

really putting the wew in wew lad
>>
>>2865945
t. bryan alvarez
>>
Tag teams always works, even bland guys like christian, jasetthy and deanetty looked great in faction.
>>
>>2865492
Cesaro looks like the type of guy to drink a martini instead. Maybe wine or a cocktail if he has guest over
>>
>the bar
>a good team

lol no
they're a joke and no one remembers any of their matches
>>
>>2865903
I think if they got over this obsession with breaking up teams and pidgeonholing guys to one division, Cesaro going for the top title while Sheamus is still his buddy and has his back could be legitimately amazing.
>>
>>2865903
This. who would have thought giving 2 talented wresters an actual chance to get over would result in them getting over. Certainly not Vince McKek
>>
I remember when everyone was shitting nonstop on the Best of 7, meanwhile, I was appreciating the awesome matches

Then they ended those on a draw, I was a bit confused.

And then they teamed them up, which was an awesome conclusion.

Both great workers, both cool, and they work well together.

I guess good character, mic charisma and looks don't matter anymore.
>>
>>2866030
go back to 1998 ya pinhead
>>
>>2866038
Time machines don't exist yet sadly
>>
>>2866018
They should do this more often. They should've been doing it with New Day forever ago, they could've done it with Enzo and Cass.

Their obsession with tag team guys being tag team guys and nothing else is what leads to their tag team divisions being nothing but the same handful of matches over and over again. and being diluted to shit.

>>2866025
I remember thinking the story was stupid while the matches were all pretty good, then match 7 was fuckin' awesome
>>
>>2866025
What exactly happened?

It went to a 7th match and was a draw? I've been trying to remember.
>>
>>2865446
They're big, they beat the fuck out of people, and they cover each others' weaknesses. Sheamus is better at talking, and Cesaro is better at wrestling. Plus, they're booked to be pretty dominant. I think only AoP are more unstoppable.
>>
>>2866030
Well both Sheamus and Cesaro got all three of those too, so.

>>2866053
7th match was a medical stoppage.

Never forget that WWE 50/50 booked a best of 7 series
>>
>>2866053
Yeah, Sheamus went 3-0, Cesaro brought it back 3-3 and then it was a draw. The two of them were fucking pissed and wanted to fight and the crowd was real into it the whole way through (and angry at the draw, obviously). Then they had their tag team shtick and they've been great ever since. They've been consistently one of the best segments of RAW ever since they started this angle.

>>2866051
The story was great. It was a great way to spend RAW's time with two workers that actually know what they're doing it and a Best of 7 is the best excuse to have them fighting constantly. And then the draw ended up being a great set up for the tag team.
>>
>>2865446
These two are the biggest reason I still have some faith in WWE. Because sometimes Vince and his gang of Yesman can make something amazing
>>
>>2865492
>>2865992
Cesaro doesn't drink at all, the martini in that bar brawl segment was literally water.
>>
>>2865446
The only problem I have with them is that they aren't dominant ENOUGH.

I mean, here's a team that's a guy who is one of the best technical wrestlers and physically strongest in the roster, and who can outflip most of the cruiserweight division teaming with a big hoss multiple times world champion.

They should be steamrolling everything in their path, not technically tying with 40 year old Hardys and scraping by with 1 second.

The last 5 or 10 minutes of their Iron Man Match should have been Sheamus and Cesaro Germany x Braziling the Hardys, just isolating Matt and hitting big move after big move on him, pinning him again and again and flooring Jeff every time he tried to help Matt, Cesaro should've uppercutted Matt until he physically couldn't stand up anymore, should've been 10 to 3.
>>
>>2866121
Hardys have been booked extremely strong since they came back, Cesaro and Sheamus being evenly matched with them is a good thing. All of those guys made each other look like tough sons of bitches in that match.
>>
>>2865446
They don't. Sheamus has always been pretty boring and Cesaro has been reduced to an uppercut machine and he's much more gifted than that. Also their promos are boring as shit as is their catchphrase.
>>
>>2866121
>posting quality shit on asp
?
>>
>>2866158
WEE DOUGHN'T JOST SET DE BERR

WEEYARR DE BERR
>>
>>2865492
I remember Cesaro saying somewhere that he doesn't drink at all, which really isn't surprising.
>>
>>2866280
During the indies was a coffee snob
>>
>Jinder Mahal is WWE Champion
>Cucksaro will never amount to anything

The state of smarks
>>
>>2866292
>Cesaro will forever be remembered for his in ring work and outstanding runs in multiple promotions culminating in a WWE HOF induction
>Jinder will be forgotten in a few years
>>
>>2866286
The entirety of their Ride Along episode is Sheamus trying to sleep and Cesaro spazzing out on caffeine and screaming his own theme song.
>>
Physically dominant
Great tag team psychology
Cesaro brings the technical skill
Sheamus brings the mic game and GOAT finisher
Great story leading to the team up and actual character development.

They stumbled into something pretty decent.
>>
I like how they hide Cesaro's shitty theme music and always end up coming out to Sheamus music which is actually excellent
>>
>>2866367
They should scrap Cesaro's theme and replace it with a brief Bond-esque tune, because walking through the gun's barrel is Cesaro's entire part in the entrance.
>>

The team had the potential to push them into main event if they had stayed face after the heel/face dynamic. They should be Sekimoto/Okabayashi of American wrestling but now their just a good team with an average character/heart
>>
>>2865446
Newfags don't remember that Cesaro + Tyson Kidd was the best tag team that we've seen in decades
Cesaro is capable of bringing anyone up to his level
He really excels in the tag division and isn't wasted at all there. Give him more time to work on his charisma and promos and he can easily be top star one day
>>
Their gimmick is that they are really good preformers and got a best of 7 series which no one ever gets. And the heel/face dynamic between them and the crowd booing Sheamus but cheering Cesaro was brilliant to get them off the ground
>>
>>2866395
>work on his charisma
You can't work on your charisma.
>>
They're good but honestly they should be in the ic picture with Miz an dean to put some variety on shit. Build up actual tag teams better
>>
>>2865492
In the bar bit when Shea and cezza had a pint, cezza never drank any of it. He doesn't touch it
>>

I unironically agree. He's one of the wwe guy that I want to see work in NJPW, like Vader.

It was a double count out
>>
>>2866511
Look at who the current WWE Champion and "THE Guy" are.

Charisma is obviously not a factor even if we're pretending Cesaro doesn't have GOAT in-ring charisma.

This, Cesaro comes across as a likable personality more effectively over the course of a match than others can with hours and hours of rehearsed 30-minutes Raw opening promos.

Even now as a heel, he still plays into the fact that he just wants to be loved by the crowd and is just spurned by being rejected in favor of a nostalgia act, shit's great.
>>
>>2869096
Cesaro isn't even a bad promo outside WWE's scripted zones, he was a brilliant smug dickhead heel on NXT

Big Boss gimmick when?
>>
>>2869133
He's clearly Sagat
>>
>>2869071
Do you think Sheamus got "you look stupid" chants for nothing? It's even more ridiculous now with the kilt.
And Cesaro is a walking penis with the goofiest face on the roster. Aviators don't don't automatically make you cool.
>>
>>2869230
"You look stupid" chants are a meme holdover from his daft "I hate vanilla midgets" gimmick, when he had his beard in muttonchops with dingleberries hanging from them. Sheamus' mohawk/full beard combo looks awesome.
>>
>>2869230
>a heel deliberately looking stupid for heat

A sorely missed and underrated lost art.

>RAWafterMania chants count when they're supporting MY argument!
>>
>>2865446
>Sheamus looked like he was on the outs for a while
>Like he could quit at any time after jobbing out and doing nothing for so long
>Cesaro genuinely upset he got drafted to RAM
>He too is doing fuck all after coming back
>Somehow putting them together has led to both guys doing great and notably having fun
I don't know what it is exactly, but I'm glad it worked.
>>
>>2869312
Kinda wish they'd both quit and gone to NJPW
>>
>>2869333
It's a shame the most work Cesaro could get in Japan was being pretty much the tag version of Oney Lorcan with Hero on NOAH.
>>
>>2869359
Gedo says he'd be his #1 pick if he could poach anybody from WWE
>>
>>2865446
Do you think Tyson Kidd cries whenever he sees them together?
>>
>>2869647
Harder than when he sees Natalya hanging out with Titus.
>>
>>2869647
Yeah I'm sure that's his biggest concern.
>>
>>2865446

2 big strong hoss sunvabitches
Cesaro is great in the ring and a Tag Team specialist.
Shaemus is a great talker
Both have good charisma
>>
>>2865446
Tag teams are easy to get over if you think about it. It's so much easier to have a character if you have someone to bounce off, tag-team moves are an easy pop and tag psychology is an effective way to get crowds in to a match. It's a testimony to WWE's idiocy that they suck so much with tag teams. I'd love to see tag teams on top for a while like back in the 70s/80s or NXT last year.
>>
>>2870413
I just remembered tlc2009 and tt tile match was in the main event.
>>
>>2870422
TLC was invented for tag teams so it only makes sense.
