Big Dick Dave Meltzer said on his radio show today that NJPW are thinking about running a show next year in New Orleans. Implied it would be WrestleMania weekend.

What ding dong diddly do you think about this? Is Kidani a fearless idiot? Can they draw 10,000 or more in the Big Easy? Will Vince get upset and stomp on them for daring to grow too big?

Go head to head with the Saturday NXT show I say.

I doubt it. NXT's buzz is dead. Their roster is not what it was two years ago. NJPW will put on a better show and sell more tickets.

Unlikely, considering that the NXT shows have become a staple of the Wrestlemania weekend, just like those ebin post Mania Raws that are memey enough to draw casuals.

Takeover would btfo NJPW. They definitely wouldn't run it head to head. I remember people were mad a couple years ago because ROH had a big event in NYC and HHH scheduled a Takeover the same night. ROH ticket sales completely stopped after Takeover Brooklyn was announced.

TakeOver doesn't have the hype it had in years past. And ROH is not NJPW. Guarantee an NJPW show that Gedo books as seriously as a big Japan show (because the G1 USA shows were supposed to be good but also testing the waters) will BTFO NXMEME.
