I know Funny Jack Tunney was an ongoing thing in the early 90's but was WM10 the worst booked main event ever, why didn't they have have Lex vs Bret and then immediately after have the winner face Yoko, instead of having the 600lb champion wrestle twice.

Bret would have looked like a billion dollars if he had beat Luger and a fresh Yoko back to back.

He just wasn't the guy. The fans really liked Bret because he was a homegrown boy and Lex just came in from the rival company, where he had been a massive heel. It just made sense to go with Bret.
