ITT: missed opportunities
>Nexus could have feuded with Shield
>Wyatt and Miz could have been the next Rock and Sock Connection

I totally made a green DX Kane in Wrestlemania 2000 back in the day.
Not turning Smackdown into Nitro during the invasion angle and pretending both companies still existed, then having both groups go at each other during PPVs.
Shit writes itself, everyone could have looked strong, and PPVs would be a legitimate must buy event.

Holy shit i never even thought of that
I always thought it was jarring how the wcw guys just turned up at wwe events without events of their own
THE BIG GREEN MACHINE

What was a missed opportunity about this? They had a good run and then feuded for WAY too fucking long, if anything this whole angle was a waste of time for Kane.

Do you not remember Booker vs Bagwell?

WWE wanted to do something like that but the tv stations were like fuck off with that shit we don't want WCW a failed brand that stunk up the ratings for the past couple of years.

A) it was Bagwell
B) it was in a territory not partial to WCW
C) it was Bagwell
D) it was Bagwell

That's sort of the point - Booker v Bagwell was seemingly booked to crash the very idea of running a WCW-branded show.
Absolutely nuts, when you think about it. Phony internal brand splits are just cringe as fuck. But for whatever reason, they wanted an internal war, but not one that appeared in any way credible or logical.
The purchase of WCW and the invasion was so badly handled that WWE has never really recovered ever since. Inexplicably, they made the whole thing....just BORING.
