June 24 2007-June 24 2017 been 10 years since Chris benoit killed his son and wife and himself.
How do you guys feel about this?
Clearly was organized, he and his family where nothing more than victims.

the real murdered should pay but he won't
>>2794140
This ushered in the PG era to the fullest extent for WWE programming
>>2794154
Fuck Kevin Sullivan, i hope thaT Benoit ghost haunts him for the rest of his miserable life
I still remember that fateful Tuesday morning when I heard the news. Something felt off during the tribute, nothing like when Eddie died. There was an air of uncertainty permeating that broadcast that my subconscious picked up on but that I didn't want to admit to. The oddest part was watching them erase Benoit from history every passing day. It left a psychological effect on me, being forced to believe a person I admired ever existed.
>>2794140
Great angle
>>2794140 A little choked up.
>>2794140
False flag. Nancy, Chris and their son were killed by Kevin Sullivan.
>CM Punk getting ready for his next UFC fight
>his opponent doesn't show up
>people wondering what's going on
>Benoit's theme plays
>crowd goes nuts, Punk stunned
>"WE NEVER HAD THAT MATCH, PUNK"
>Benoit makes Punk tap to the crossface in 10 seconds
Gone but never forgotten no matter how much they wish we would
>>2794649
>>2794650
Best part is when people were giving live testimonies about what a great guy Benoit was it was being reported the police ruled it a murder-suicide.
>>2794140
Oh man, this shit fucked me up for months. I was 15 years old and the guy was my hero in every way. I wanted to be like him, I wanted to talk like him, I wanted to present myself in the same calm and collected way as Benoit did.
Fuck, I hate thinking about this.
I've gotten over it, but I'm still kind of kissed that it had to be MY guy. He was my favorite and one of the few I gave a fuck about at the time. There have been countless dipshits in wrestling history, and the worst thing to ever happen was perpetrated by one of the best.
>>2794701
Fucking exactly.
POST BENOIT'S SON.
YOU KNOW WHICH ONE
Anons seem to think Chris Benoit was the toughest superstar in the WWE, but I think they're lying through their teeth.
>b-but his accomplisments
What accomplishments? Taking 16 years to finally win the World Heavyweight title? I'm supposed to kiss his feet for finally winning the title after failing time and time again? Oh, please. I know /asp/ likes to root for the underdog, but that's ridiculous. Chris Benoit is completely overrated.
>>2794726
t. Dean Malenko
>>2794726
Benoit was a manlet no draw.
>>2794726
>Taking 16 years to finally win the World Heavyweight title?
TWELVE actually.
>>2794726
Perry Saturn, pls go.
>>2794653
>>2794701
>tfw Eddie and Benoit were your guys
>Mania 20 will never be the same feel good moment it once was
>Eddie died via the very same drugs he was cutting 10/10 promos about quitting just a year before
>Benoit took all the sympathy from Eddie's passing and wound up a fucking child murderer
This board memes about Bryan/Punk and "the day that wrestling died", but this whole thing really did do this for me. I can't truly get behind anyone anymore without this shit being in the back of my mind.

>>2794753

Jesus Christ, I thought I was the only one.

So that's what 10 years feels like. I really remember it like just yesterday. Time fucking flies.

>Mania 20 will never be the same feel good moment it once was
I don't know, I can still put myself in the 2004 shoes
>>2794742
does he get a lifetime free pass or what?
>>2794988
Why wouldn't he?
>>2794948
eerie
>>2794990
Why would he?
>>2794701
Sorry but Benoit was a psychopath dipshit. Damn near any wrestler back then has attested to this.
Honest question: Where did the conspiracy theories about Kevin Sullivan come from?
>>2795024
marks who were shot into a work
>>2795024
Chris Benoit fans who didnt want to beleive he did it
RIP hero
>>2794140
FUCK YOU KEVIN
>>2794748
I know deep down Perry Saturn and Malenko don't really believe Benoit killed his wife and son. Saturn still calls him as a friend to this day.
>>2794988
Yeah, he can go to free shows and hang out backstage with the wrestlers because everyone feels guilty and also WWE wants to make sure he never wrestles.
>>2794140
Sullivan killed and framed Benoit and brought about the destruction of wrestling. Sick bastard got away with everything.
>>2795024
They found blonde hair at the crime scene and face paint. To this day, no one knows where Kevin Sullivan was that weekend.
>>2795024
Benoit fanboys in denial
Never reveal the secrets of the dungeon of doom. The yeti will show no mercy
>2007 was 50 years ago
Jesus
>>2795522
Kek. I just want to know if when Ron Reis assassinated the Benoit family if he was being the Yeti or the Super Giant Ninja.
>>2794653
This, but add 3 years. I was chatting with a friend online after watching the tribute at a buddy's house, and she dropped the bomb.
The worst part was that I had started talking to a local fed to get training, but this shit fucked me up.
But Benoit vs. Angle at the Rumble is still one of my favorite matches.
>>2795592
Time sure flies
>For the most part, the veterans weren’t subjected to this type of stuff. Michaels, Triple H, Taker, Mick Foley; these guys were respected. Maybe Orton would call Michaels “HBGay” every once in a while, but it wasn’t anything he couldn’t handle. However, the worst incident I can remember involved a respected vet. In 2006, some of us were in the gym before a show when Edge and Matt Hardy got into a shouting match over a hooker or something. This type of stuff happened like every other day so most of us just ignored it. Edge just lost it and fired a 5 lb. plate at Matt. He missed way high and hit veteran Chris Benoit in the back of the head. He had no idea what hit him. Edge actually felt pretty bad about it; Orton thought it was hysterical. Benoit was out cold and we had no idea what to do. Foley, Michaels, and Big Show carried him to a massage table and laid him face down so anyone who saw him would just think he was waiting to get a massage. Cena had about 20 or 25 extra armbands in his locker so he just started wrapping those around Chris’ head to try to stop the bleeding. He woke up about 30 minutes later wondering what happened and why he was wearing 15 armbands on his head. We just blamed it on Cryme Time. Benoit was a real team player and didn’t want this to be a distraction so he just let it go.

Why did Chris look like he was in unbelievable pain with every bump he took? Even before the 2000s
>>2796671
>carried him to a massage table and laid him face down so anyone who saw him would just think he was waiting to get a massage
Lel
>>2796734
Dunno what you mean by that at all.
>>2795592
Time flies when you're having fun
>>2796734
Cuz he learned selling from one of the best: Bret.

>>2796745

>>2794140

This was probably the blow that turned him psycho
i didnt even watcg wrestling when this happened but it still fucks with me
i want to be a fan of his
i want to enjoy his incredible matches
i want to wish he was still here today
but i cant, he'd be one of my favorites honestly. i cant imagine being a fan of his at the time
>>2796671
Gets better every time it's posted.
>10 year anniversary
>tfw people were fine with 9/11 jokes in 2005 but we can't have anything hardcore in WWE because this fucking manlet leaf killed his family
Fucking burgers I swear
>>2797461
Yeah, from that point news about what really happened started to leak to the wrestlers.
>>2796671
>this is what drove him over the edge
When I was a wee lad my favourite match of his was against Orlando Jordan at Summerslam 05.
If anyone can make that match into a webm that would be fantastic.
I think one of the more disturbing facts of the case is that the murders and suicide took place over the course of several days. This wasn't just Benoit snapping, killing Nancy, Daniel and then himself in a short period of time to where he doesn't have to dwell on it. No. He fucking killed Nancy, waited a day to kill Daniel, then waited another day to kill himself. What the fuck did he do in between the killings? Did he sleep at all? If he did sleep, did he sleep next to Nancy's corpse or on the couch away from the body? Did he watch TV? Take a shower? Did he eat? Play with his dogs? Go for a swim? Did he look at family photos and reminisce? Or did he just roam around the house like an unhinged animal the whole time?
>>2794651
HHH knew and thats why his story was of Benoit bullying people
>>2798173
That was more of a "this guy was highly respected by everyone" tribute not "this guy was a piece of shit bully" burial
>>2798165
If I recall correctly a fan took a picture with him in public between the murders
