The main issue IMO is the evolution of the heavyweight, main event style to the point that the two are practically interchangeable. Working a shoot style doesn't get you over in WWE and the PWG spot monkey style (which would set them apart) is unfeasible given the amount of dates they are expected to work. Cruiserweight wrestling was a success when guys like Nash and Luger were on top, but when guys like Rollins and Zayn can do all the same stuff but with more weight and charisma they're fucked.
