this has been the case with every WWE franchise game. the problem is all the other ones started good, and the 2K games have been mediocre from the beginning. WWE Wrestlemania X8 to Day of Reckoning is an amazing improvement. SmackDown 1 to SmackDown Here Comes The Pain was an amazing improvement. SmackDown vs Raw to Smackdown vs Raw 2011 is where the trouble started. Day of Reckoning and SmackDown vs Raw 1 had GOAT soundtracks.

2k17 is a glitchy piece of shit. the career and universe mode are fucking garbage. the promo engine is a nothing feature that isn't fun and doesn't make sense. the customization is fucking ass aside from the face morphing. they got rid of body morphing and you can't make anyone fat or skinny. awful game. 2k16 is better in just about every way. back stage brawls aren't even fun and they didn't bother to redo the lighting so the models just look weird and improper when they aren't in the main arena area.
